  1. I hate the automatic punctuation. ..

    There needs to be an option where you can turn the automatic punctuation off. . It puts question marks where there's not a question. . Periods Where there desert need to be One . I hate this feature. Please make that an option. And not a default.

  2. Away Message function

    Would it be possible to implement an away message function? So say for instance, you just want a break from everyone, but you don't want people to think you're ignoring them. So you set up an automatic message to send, until you turn it off.

  3. group/bulk switch

    create an option to assign bulk message or group chat attribute to individual groups. Verizon message+ has this feature.

    currently in Textra you can only select to default group messages as bulk or chat.

  4. Option to search uncensored gifs

    Currently, the only way to have uncensored gif searches is to root your phone. It would be nice if Textra could add that as a built-in opion

    Notification is only 2 lines. It would be great to allow it to be higher and display much more information and buttons.

  6. More playback functions on audio message

    Textra does not have the function to start the audio message from the beginning. Let's say if I stopped listening half way of an audio message. I have to play the rest of the message before starting over. An more advanced function such as a controllable audio message progress bar. The current progress bar only shows the progress but unable to control the playback.

  8. back up to SD Card

    auto backup all sms & mms to a file on sd card. not to be xferred to new device. just a file on ad card so not to waste internal storage. its to easy to accidently delete a contacts msgs when they really need to be saved.

    Thank you for a great product.

    Can you add a reply feature, similar to whatsapp? When you long press on a message it copies the message into a reply message.

  10. Ability to customise the text colour

    to be able to customize the text colour throughout the app and even adding more fonts aswell, one of the reasons your app is so good is the ability to customise it so well

  13. lower first message

    I love Textra. but on the S10, the top most message should be around the middle/top 3/4 of the phone, like the Samsung messages app. this way I can reach it with my thumb. thanks

    While living abord I have my phone on local language for using some local apps, but wish to keep using essential apps in English. But Textra only come in system language.

  18. Spam number database

    create a SPAM button we can flag in texts and keep that in a TEXTRA database of sorts... I get that our texts aren't routes via TEXTRA, but I also use the DRUPE app for my calls, and once I occasionally will get a call flagged as suspected Spam based on other callers' flagging. not perfect but works well. significantly reduces my spam calls... and at the end of every call I get (good or bad) a pop up comes up with options for me to handle that call... Mark as Spam is one of them. Suggest TEXTRA look at…

  20. Disable Contact Photos

    pretty straight forward, I prefer a minimal aesthetic. it would be nice to have the option to disable contact photos so that it only displays the name of the person I'm texting
