  1. another in support of a built-in backup option....

    Just want to put my word in along with all the others that while I'm aware that i can backup to onedrive, dropbox, google via 3rd party app and texra copies to the native app, I'd prefer to pay for something more integrated. I just don't have any more directions I can divide my attention using third party app means staying on top of yet another app to make sure it's doing what it needs to do, is permissions don't get changed by some update, or some other nonsense that fails without you realizing it.   2. Compatibility with swift keyboard in android 12

    Compatibility of Textra with the Microsoft Swift keyboard for Android 12 would allow me to keep using Textra. Google kboard is a no-go for me.
    I just switched from Message+ to Textra and have been really happy with it... until I tried to send a photo or GIF. None of them will go through and I get "originator address not found".

  3. Change Message Color In GC

    I wish we could change the color of different members of a group chat (to distinguish senders) WITHOUT that then changing the color of that person's private chat as well.

  4. Option to insert saved templates

    I have to leave the app and copy/paste from another place to use a standard template message reply with basic instructions or other generic info. It would be awesome to have this feature for those of us who use our phones to conduct business.

  5. BULK GROUP ADDING/DELETE

    Hello,

    While using bulk group or just group option there should be a option where I can remove or add people to the group. Now only way we could do as by making new group.

  6. Contacts Nickname search

    Alot of times when I start a text to my mom I start typing mom under contacts in Textra. My phone I can search that way in contacts as I have my mom listed with her name and (mom) is her nickname.
    So back to Textra I start a text with (Mom) and her contact only comes up if the mom is listed in the text body. So if be cool if Nicknames would show up in Textra search from my phone contacts

  8. Create a group or folder of individual chats

    Useful when you're texting more than a few people perhaps when selling stuff or other business purposes, and there's no need to create a contact of each individual.
    Note this is not like a "group chat", you select a folder and see each separate chat expand from the folder and from there you select to open each chat individually.

    I'd like to be able to filter to any unread message. Additional filters would be helpful also (e.g. keyword).

  10. Custom Naming for Group MMS Texts

    I'd like to name MMS Group conversations on my end. Of course the group would not see it, but it would be useful. At the moment I can color code the groups but not name them.

  12. unable to see text on lock screen

    on my other message app I'm able to read my text as it scrolls onto my lock screen. in Textra all it says is one unread message.

    It would be great to be able to set a rule that auto forwards text messages to an email address. Forwarding all texts would already be useful, but even better would be to have some filters/conditions that trigger the forward. e.g. from specific contacts, received outside of business hours, contains certain keywords, ...

  14. Edit recommended smart reply options

    I wish I could go into settings and edit the smart reply options. one of the most common recommendations is the word thanks and I never say thanks. I always say thank you I wish I could go in and edit that recommendation

  16. BLOCK EMAIL ADDRESS TEXTS PLEASE.

    Can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get a way to bulk block texts that come from email addresses? There is an epidemic of spam texts that I'm getting from them. PLEASE.

    I think it would be very handy if you were looking at your text and then you decided you wanted to call the person that you could tap their number in the app and go directly to calling

  18. MORE SEARCH FILTERS ❓

    Textra is a great app. both, my mother & I have supported this application by upgrading to the pro version because it has really nice customization options for texting.

    With that being said, I really, REALLY hope that Textra would be able to allow it's users more filters to apply when searching throughout the messages (all messages & within messages)

    suggested options would be
    • videos
    • links
    • locations

    if that would be to cumbersome... then, alternatively
    •the ability to star 𝙊𝙍 favorite messages in texts would be ideal
    & then a filter function simply for the messages that…

  19. Alternative color picker option

    First off, I'm really loving the app and the customization options and I've happily been using it on Pro for many years. Great job, everybody!
    But I'd STILL love to pick message balloon- AND text colors (!!!) via hex code optionally, to choose a correct color shade. Especially for the text color too!

    For example:
    I'd like my buddy to be writing me in gold text on a black balloon, while I'd be answering in lime green text on a blue balloon. May you guys please consider something like that?

  20. Ability to add more font options

    obviously LOTS of people keep suggesting this. Some sort of way to change font options would be HUGE for the Textra app!
