  1. Better than Google messages

    Staying away from RCS or anything Google. their messages app sucks to say the best for them. RCS is Google right? I careless about chatting then texting the old school way how bout just keeping it simple? as long as my text gets there and I get one back why all the Xtra stupidness? just saying love Google hates Google messages. 💯

  3. iPhone emoji image response to android phone

    While it would be great to see an iPhone emoji response directly on an image that an Android user sent to them, a good MVP would be the response at least denoting which image the iPhone user is responding to. If I send three images to someone, and they like one of them, I received [liked an image], but I don't know which one. It would be nice if there was some sort of anchor or text that describes which image the iPhone user liked.

  4. Recipient "Read" Notifications

    Hello. First of all, I really like this app so thank you for creating it. I would love to see you add a "read" notification feature that indicates when a recipient read your message along with date and time when they read it. Thanks 😊

    at&t provides a 4 digit number to forward spam messages to. this works in android default messaging app and would be nice to have in textra.

  10. Picture Selection with "+"

    before the last update, you could click anywhere on the image to attach. now you have to select a small circle in the top right and press "choose 1" at the bottom. this adds unnecessary steps to this process.

  12. Backup & Restore SMS/MMS to Another Phone

    The ability to bundle all texts/MMS with images and sounds for individual and group messages, with phone numbers and restore to another device in the correct chronological order and retain the same groupings.

  13. Tabs within the main screen

    similar to how you have a 'help" and "ideas" tab in app, there could be a tab for known contacts and one for unknown contacts. or even a tab just for MFA to get it out of my regular inbox would be great.

    The groups by themselves are already pretty decent, but it can be annoying to have to create an entirely new one when there could be an option to remove/add people to already existing groups.

  15. Editing texts

    WhatsApp allows you to edit a message if you make a mistake. It would be amazing if Textra would also aaloe us to do so. They also have the option to react with any emoji from the emoji gallery.

  16. Filters for Unread, Drafts

    Please add an ability to filter on messages marked as Unread, as well one to filter on Drafts that have been created. These messages that are flagged or being worked on can get buried, and a filter allows them to be discovered and collected for action.

  17. Sorting for previously sent text strings

    When searching for a past group text that included a name in my contacts, the results should sort from newest to oldest, so I don't have to look through 25 text strings to find the most recent one the contact was a part of.
