  2. Auto-retry failed SMS/MMSs

    Include an option that would make it so that if an MMS failed to send, it would retry, either automatically, or in a designated interval determined by the user (e.g. “retry every X minutes”). Also, as an add-on to this feature, it would be great if there's a setting that determines how many times Textra will try to re-send an MMS.

  3. Automatic dark/black/night mode

    Having the option to set a period of time where the app goes into a "night" then t the conclusion it goes back into the previous set up that you have. It's a great feature that I enjoy to some degree within the launcher Nova and I have seen it implemented in many other apps as well.

  4. Add read receipts

    You should do read receipts because it's gets people frustrated because people will never know if there message has been read or not so you should add read receipts to make this app much bettet

  5. Long hold send button to give the option of sending as Bulk or Chat

    Instead of having to change the toggle in settings from "Bulk" to "Chat" it would be nice to be able to long hold the send button, or some other button to make changing the method of delivery for just that instance more accessible.

  6. BLACK night mode

    The automatic night mode option is great,but what isn't great is that by default it goes to the dark mode and we don't have the option to chose either black or dark. Some of us that have AMOLED screens would benefit more from the black theme at night as it conserves a bit more battery (and looks better IMO).

  7. Change auto day/night display

    10 pm is too late for it to switch to dark mode. Should be closer to sunset or even better, make it customizable with whatever times the user wants

  8. To not have a new incoming text pop up in front of the current text msg I'm sending out to someone else.

    Everytime I am sending a message back and forth to someone, as I'm typing it, if a new text is coming in from someone else that new text popup puts itself in front of the one I'm currently working on to another person and then starts inserting what I'm typing into the reply box of the new incoming text. So now I've just sent a private text to someone else instead of the original person I was texting it to.

    An option to flip the alignment of messages in the conversation so sent messages are aligned left and received messages are aligned on the right.

  14. Add a 'backup messages' function

    I think having the option to save and backup your messages on the Textra app (your Textra account) would be such a valuable function. Especially when it comes to times where your phone has a problem that does not allow it to operate and the only option you have is to reboot and wipe your phone. I know from experience, it hurts when your important messages have been deleted. I have another app that backs up my messages however, it would be a lot neater and more convenient if it was all on the same app.

  18. Combine multiple notifications from the app into one notification.

    for example if i get text from two contacts there shouldn't be two separate notifications. it should just say 2 messages received. I use dashnotifier and only the most recent notification ends up showing up on lockscreen so I never know how many messages i have.
