    When selecting one or more messages, have a selection in the burger menu to mark the selected messages as read without having to open them individually.

  3. Dual Sim Colour Coding

    If there are 2 sim cards in the phone it would be great to colour code the chat thread based on which sim is selected to reduce the likely hood of accidentally sending from the wrong sim.

  4. RCS feature

    RCS helps messaging between users easier by seeing if the recipient is currently typing, can react to different message bubbles better with different emojies, can pick a message bubble to specifically on, and can send images better without the use of MMS and just simply by being connected to mobile data or the internet.

  7. be able to add reactions to images or gifs

    when you tap on a text you can add a reaction emoji and i think itd be cool if you could do that for a gif/pic, maybe by having the option ehen holding down on the image for a second

    Along with the phone call button, add a video call button to start a video conversation with the contact (alternative to Apple FaceTime). Do group video chats.

  14. backup and restore theme settings (and other settings)

    Much like nova launcher it would be nice if this app had an option to create a restore file to restore the custom user settings such as the theme or "send delay" settings

  15. Store messages in a trashcan before deleting

    It would be nice to have the messages or conversations put in a trash when deleting them. That would allow us to recover them if deleted by mistake. They could be automatically deleted after 7 days on the trash, or manually.

  16. Timed Mute

    Is it possible to set a timer on muting a particular thread? Instead of having to manually unmute, having the option to mute it for 1hr, 2hr, 8hr, etc or "until I manually switch back". Sometimes I will mute a group convo that's distracting, but I forget to turn it back on.

  17. settings backup / message backup

    hello...
    I would love to see a feature added to this application that allows you to backup and restore settings.

    That way when you do a fresh install of textra, you can have all settings restored instantly
    also it would be great to allow local or cloud storage message backup (as I used in goSms)
    I have switched to textra, for smoother experience...well consider buying if these features become available

  18. Desktop App

    Textra is an excellent alternative app for sending text messages, however, it would be even better if there was a PC app that allowed texting on desktop or even on the internet.
    This might cost a bit to make but with enough funding this can be done.

  19. customized color between dark and light mode

    I thought this was already in place but it would be cool to have the flexibility for dark mode text bubble color different than the light mode if the day and night option is selected...
