Signature
I think the signature should be underneath the message instead of on the side of the message, because it looks like it's part of the message itself.

single notification for all unread messages
Please provide the option for just a single notification sound (or vibration) for the first new unread message that comes in. This option would suppress all further notifications until I read the messages or clear the notifications. Then I'd again get just one notification. Android GMail has this option.
If I have the phone nearby when I'm trying to sleep, I don't want a cascade of sounds if a late night texting stream starts going. One notification is enough... then I can choose whether to look at it or ignore it, without being bothered by additional notifications if I ignore it. As it is, my only option is to turn off all notifications or silence my phone completely. Thanks!

Reorganize the swipe. how about swipe to the right for delete and swipe to the left to call the contact.
i think it's slightly bothering to have both on the same swipe to the right. at least use the functionality of the swipe to the other direction.

Customizable font colors
There really should be an option to make font color black instead of white. I like to use light blue and also yellow text bubbles, and white font looks terrible in these colors. Not enough contrast. Im shocked that this isnt available. Seems so obvious. Oh well, time to uninstall and look elsewhere.

Option to choose different sound for repeat notifications?
It would help me to understand that it's just a reminder. That way I can remain focused on my task without the interruption of conversations that can wait.

Ability to use Gallery pics as Backgrounds.
Would be cool to use Gallery pics for Backgrounds like the stock app and be able to set my own vibration pattern/length.

Don't pop ads right under my finger a millisecond before it touches the screen!!!
When I see a new text and open this app, you know exactly when and where my finger is going to touch the screen - it's a predictable and consistent pattern. So when an ad slides into that spot, perfectly timed to show up AFTER I've committed to tapping right there, it feels like evil UI. Don't do evil UI. I don't know if it's intentional but it comes off as sneaky, annoying, and unethical. Your advertiser is paying for a false click, and it erodes my trust and affinity in your product.
TL;DR - I considered paying the measly $2 or whatever to remove the ads, but this makes me want to just switch products out of spite. :)

Emergancy Alerts options in Textra.
In the default app, you can set up some emergency alerts. Screenshot;

The first line of the text I saw when I got one forwarded to Textra from my default, was #EmergancyAlert or something like that whcih changed it to a red icon. I'm sure the others have different icons and such. I'd like this feature in Textra because I had to disable it in the default app, due to flood warning that kept popping back up because I had to default the original text app to get rid of the text on there.18 votes -
customize wallpaper
The app is actually really good. It would be more fun if we could customize the wallpaper in the messages with colors like we can the chat bubbles & photos. Please consider it.

choose different Repeat Notification sound?
Gets confusing thinking you have multiple messages when it's just one reminding you

Full clipboard access from the keyboard like the Samsung default keyboard offers.
Needs a full access long press button for the clipboard where you can choose from what is on it instead of just being able to paste the last thing copied. Currently using clipper but hate having to jump back and forth. The Samsung note 4 default keyboard has a full access clipboard menu and this app would be even more awesome and time saving. It would make redditing and other link/comment sharing apps much easier.

Enhanced Customization
I'm coming to Textra as a longtime user of GoSMS. A major update to Go (version 6 I believe) removed most of the features that made me choose it in the first place. Luckily, my apps don't auto-update, and I've lived with an old build of the app for quite some time.
I love that Textra has many of the customization options I like while also being fresh and fast. However, I think it would be incredible to see the following functionality included:
-Option for customized vibration patterns with numbers (ms on, ms off) instead of presses (although the press idea is neat!)
-Custom LED colors (using RGB values)
-A single place to view, create, and manage scheduled messages
-Persistent message counters
-Open menu when tapping phone's menu button (Does not work at least on my Galaxy S4, and I understand many new devices do not have such a button)
-iOS emoji (Perhaps there is a licensing/copyright issue? Changelog indicates that this used to be available)
