Improve the using and typing in landscape.Indeed today the keyboard hide the letters and we don’t see that we write!
The keyboard should be displayed below the letters

Transparent navigation/notification bars.
OKSMS had this feature and it gave the app a very clean/crisp look. I moved to Textra because it's very pretty and works so well! This feature would make the app all but perfect (design-wise)

"Read" button in notification panel w/ message
When you pull down your notification bar to see the message, what if you don't want to reply & open the message, but want the notification to go away? If there is anyway a "read" button could be incorporated that would be fantastic. Thanks for all your hard work!

SMS restore bug
Hi, it looks like there may be a bug in the way the indexer/message optimizer works. I bought a new phone and installed textra on it. I opened textra and it indexed existing messages, and received a message as well. Then I did a restore of all my previous sms messages from my old phone. Textra pulled in all the messages I had sent to my friends, but does not display any of their responses. All of my conversations look like one-way conversations where I sent them messages but never got responses. The default messaging app does show all of…

Be able to edit a contacts settings without having to have a conversation on the screen first
As it stands now, in order to customize a contacts settings (notification tone, bubble color, vibration settings, LED color, etc.) they have to have text you or you text them and the conversation available in the app to long press and then select the custom settings. I propose being able to select any of your contacts, whether there is a conversation present or not, and be able to personalize them. That way you do not have to text someone or wait for them to text you before you can change their notification tone or any of the other custom settings…

Read later folder
An option to save the selected message to a folder to be read later. Like a "Favorites"folder.

Delivery Delay - SMS Messaging
The messaging app on the Custom ROM, Cyanogenmod is listed as Messaging (com.android.mms, version 4.4.2-fd1c7d4c47). This app has a very unique feature called "Delivery Delay" and can be manually adjusted from 5 second and increments of 5 seconds upto 1 minute. Should you decide to cancel the text, simply tap the message and can be edited and tap again to send. I would greatly appreciate if you could add this feature to your next update.
Thank you for publishing this otherwise very impressive app, Textra on the Google app store.
