Option to customize bubble color per contact (would make identifying who said what in groupchats easier)
Right now all the bubble colors are the same for all contacts, which makes it difficult to identify who said what in a group chat. The only distinguishing characteristic is the person's name slightly transparent above the message, so either adding the option to customize bubble color per contact or adding the person's contact photo next to their name would make things a lot easier in my opinion

ISO Assistance: MMS too large
I'm looking for assistance. Often when trying to send an animated GIF (built-in ones), I get a "MMS too large" error. I've tried every MMS setting combo to no avail. I've got AT&T.

Keyboard keeps popping up
When you scroll to the bottom of the messages thread WITHOUT swiping the message bar up to type a message the friggin keyboard keeps automatically popping up ANNOYINGLY. The keyboard shouldnt pop up unless you swipe the message bar up NOT by simply swiping up the messages. There should be no connection between to 2 different motions. The problem is when you scroll to the bottom of the message the keyboard automatically pops up causing half the message to disappear and you have to flick the keyboard down all the time to get rid of it to read the other half of the message. A major piss off to constantly scroll to the last message and always have the friggin keyboard pop up and cause half the message you are trying to read covered or disappear only to have to flick the keyboard down out of the way. VERY VERY ANNOYING

Okay Google, do I have any messages?
So I recently left Textra for this reason. When I ask Google Now if I have any messages it doesn't work. It won't find any. Kind of a bummer.
Can we please add Google Now recognition? Is that even possible?

Please give an option to NOT bring up the keyboard by swiping up. This function makes it difficult to scroll down through long messages.
The swipe up keyboard covers long messages. There needs to be the option to only bring up the keyboard when you tap in the typing box.

Option leave message unread after swiping android push notifications
When swiping away stock Android push notifications the message is a automatically marked as unread. I like the textra floating notification and would like to be able to clear the stock notification so as to save mesaages unread for later.

Group Message Improvements
For group conversations, it would be great if you could give the group a name and its own image. Also, allow a shortcut to be made to the group. By this, I mean just like you can put a contact shortcut on the android home screens, a shortcut for a whole group would be awesome. This is a function I had on Go SMS that was quite useful when you part of a group that you need to talk with regularly but don't want to always keep all the messages (for example, a sports team you play on).

Having a smaller quick reply window would be a pretty useful addition. Maybe something similar to the iPhone quick reply.

Ultra power saving mode
Samsung has an ultra power saving mode and when the mode is switched on I don't get any texts whatsoever, even if I turn the mode off, like any texts I would have received I would never get at all. Having support to be able to use textra while in ultra power saving mode would be enough to have me pay to use the app.

So many people have recommend a home screen widget like Google Messenger where you can scroll through conversations and click one to open it.
