  3. Custom Background

    Textra use is mainly due to the simplicity. But at least add a feature where it is an OPTION to customize the background. Those that don't want to use that feature don't have to. And from the looks of it, many of your consumers want this option. Are you going to flatly ignore the request of many customers who use your product?

  4. toggle for car system clearing local notifications

    a recent update to Textra included the feature for Textra to sense when a car system read a text message and therefore clears the local phone notification. I'd like this feature to be a toggle. I'd prefer the local phone notification stays, as I can't respond to most text messages while driving, and forget since the local notifications have cleared. if users could choose to opt-out of this feature that would be great.

  5. Reading MMS message in Android Auto

    I wish that when reading a group message in Android Auto it would state who the message is from as does Messages in Apple CarPlay.
    Currently when Textra reads a group message in AA, it states everyone's name involved in group message, then reads the message instead of just the name of the individual who sent it. This makes it difficult to know who said what without looking at your phone and I don't want to look at my phone while driving.

  6. Show contact images next to chat bubble.

    just like in group chat, put the contact images next to the bubbles in non-profit messages. Makes it quicker to see who you're speaking with at a glance.

    Also with this in mind, allow us to set contact images and show them for ourselves.

    Long pressing and app should yield shortcuts. it's a pretty standard feature since Android Nougat.

    I'd like to be able to send a single text to multiple contacts as an individual text to each. ultimately BCC all contacts within a single text.

    Make it possible to save a text for later. For example, if you don't have time to answer right now, you can set a reminder after x minutes.

  13. MMS 'Cannot get MMS' Notification - AGAIN!

    This seems to happen Off and On with Textra.

    I'm with AT&T Wireless and I live in Southern California. Yes, I've read the Knowledge Base articles - all the settings are correct on my phone.

    I get this error message with incoming and outgoing pics sent via MMS. If I switch to the stock app that comes with Android Marshmallow no problems.

    The problem seems to go away and come back AGAIN after Textra updates.

    Are other seeing this? Textra aware? Care?

    I really like this app but would love it if Textra would clean up the code for MMS…

  18. reschedule or "send now" for scheduled texts

    Hey. my most often use case for scheduled texts is sending them in the morning when i assume we'll both be awake. however, I tend to be conservative with that time and it's often later than it needs to be. long pressing on a scheduled text and having the option to send it instantly k stead would be great. also, long pressing and rescheduling seems ideal. thanks!

  20. Ability to change the sending sound
