    There are a number of very good apps that focus specifically on backup and restore of messages. We recommend and use SMS Backup & Restore.

    No point us re-inventing the wheel and losing focus on the core aspects of Textra.

    I agree. I have one contact with two phone numbers; his work phone and his home phone, but since they're under the same contact, the both show up under the same name in Textra, making it a challenge to know for sure which one I'm texting.
