    Have you tried a long-hold on the individual message you want to delete and then the option comes up to select more messages you want to choose. Then up in the right-hand corner a trash can will appear, or you can select the three-dot menu to Send As New, Copy, Forward, Share As Email, Lock.

    If you are on the list screen, you can do the same - Trash can appears to choose delete multiple items.

    Agreed. Why do I have to wait to get an unwanted message and then block it? Then, if I get a new phone or have to reset my device (as there is NO backup option), I have to wait again until I get that unwanted text, then block that person again? Why can't I type it in or go into the contact list to add them as a blocked number?
