    With textra the screen wouldn't intentionally stay open waiting for a reply, when you leave the conversation on accidentally messages are missed.

    Perhaps a less sharp sound specifically for this? Recognisable by textra users?

    .... a private box, that has personal notifications like the inbox and maybe a pin/password to access the private inbox. As long as it can't be viewed in the general inbox by others as you scroll. Some conversations need to be private, such as planning surprises, personal family business etc.

    I used to use go sms for this but it's too messy and had to contact developers to fix major problems too often. even with pro version - had my money refunded and uninstalled the app.

    Textra is 1000% better. I'd buy pro with this feature and 5 star rating.
