    I love the stock apps options to have your message conversation viewed as a transcript. No bubbles or left and right messaging, just down the side!

  2. Prevent links from opening when holding message box

    Copying and pasting an entire message is usually easy by pressing and holding the text until the copy option appears, though, this is not the case with links. The link opens every time I try to copy it regardless of how long I hold it.

  4. Custom backgrounds

    You have a wonderful app only thing that is missing is the ability to add custom backgrounds I think if you add this feature you would definitely ranked number 1 as far as I'm concerned

  5. Option to keep quick compose open after sending.

    Just an option to keep it open in case we want to continue the conversation. Other than that, the app is phenomenal!

  6. Virgin Mobile MMS Error

    I am currently getting the error as follows when I try to receive messages from a group chat and pictures.

    Can't get MMS
    Check Textra > MMS Settings > APN (tap to retry)

  7. On white theme, make statusbar icons black

    On white theme, make statusbar icons black on a white status bar instead of white icons on a grey status bar. This feature is implemented in Android >=6.0. It is used in apps such as SoundCloud.

  8. MMS option "prefer data"

    Like the "prefer wifi" option but helps users on unlocked phones from other carriers that can't send/receive over wifi but still tries. Better than having wifi turn off and on automatically which interferes with other things.

  10. When others have Textra

    You guys should do like.. if others have this app, that they can send it to those who do like if it's just a messaging app like WhatsApp or Telegram type things. And the marked red could be the accent color. I would love that so much. And if they don't, regular SMS and to sign up could be with your phone number or something. But they would have to have Textra to message with data or wifi and have the option to opt out of it. And maybe these people would have read receipts with the check marks like…

  11. Google assistant integration

    I used Google allo and I love the Google assistant on that, you're able for it to tell you the weather a specific times and a lot more useful things, can you integrate that into SMS or have your own version of it but in a bot form if even possible?

  12. Several things

    1) I'm getting a weird glitch wheremail I have a 3 person group chat (all android users) and textra splits it into 2 separate group chats with messages randomly distributed between
    2) Add a widget similar to that of Google Messenger- I wouldnt imagine it being that hard to implement
    3) Make it so that in group chats you can change the chat bubble color for each person in the group chat

  13. Periodic repeat notificationd

    I would like an addition to repeat notifications to periodically notify after the current repeat time limit expires. This would be helpful for when your phone silenced, like in a movie, or when a message comes in over night. Possibly the other suggestion of infinite repeats at a configurable period would work to solve this issue.

  15. Sending pictures

    All of a sudden when I try to attach photos, they just come up as blank boxes and won't let me and. This started yesterday a couple hours after sending pictures with no problems. I rebooted my phone and updated my app to no avail.

  17. Update the strip accents and diacritics feature

    I have some suggestions about the "Strip accents and diactritics" feature.
    Instead if stripping everything unfamiliar in Western Europe, I suggest it should change Unicode characters to legal ones closely resembling them.

    For example:

    upper case Á should be upper case Å or lower case à
    upper case Ú should be lower case ù
    upper case Ó should be lower case ò
    upper case Í should be lower case ì
    upper case Ő should be upper case Ö
    upper case Ű should be upper case Ü

    lower case á should be lower case à
    lower case ú should be lower…
