  1. prune messages

    I would like to be able to prune messages that are older than a certain date on certain contacts. So if I go to the contact window, and click the menu button, I'd like to have a prune feature. Textra seems to lag real badly after a while, when you have more than 400 messages. I'd prefer to keep all, but not if the app is gonna lag out real badly and even crash.

    Maybe you could develop something wherein we could send SMS from our laptops also... And back-up messages at the same time! :)

  4. White or Black App Start Up Animations

    I would like it if you guys make the Start up animations white rather than transparent gray. I know you guys choose gray because you didn't want the app to be "jarring" for when a user chooses a black background and it launches white, but this is okay IMO.

    Most apps with a dark background start off white then go dark or visa versa. A good example of this is AccuWeather. It actually goes black then goes blue when the app finally loads.

  5. More options to create custom colour schemes

    While the latest update admittedly added a vast number of material colours I'd still love to go and pick my own accent colours. With some of the bubble colours the text is way too bright for my taste. I'd t love to choose my own text colours, and I really mean colours, not merely the text brightness.

  6. Repeat notification of old text message.

    Textra keeps notifying me that I have got the same old message again and again and again. Force Stop makes no difference. Suggestions or a fix please.

  7. Option to hide content message on main inbox view

    Sometimes when your phone is on a table and you're just chillin' on your main inbox view, curious people tend to look at your phone and start reading messages. It would be nice to have the option to hide content messages from each contact, so that only the contact names are displayed on the main inbox view, with the date & time of last message received/sent (or maybe add an indicator that the message has been delivered/read).

  8. Fixing notification tray bug.

    There's a slight bug where the Textra icon will stay in the notification bar after you swipe it away, as well as a blank spot where it used to be.

    emoji ios is not available, the only available now is Android emotions, it would be great to add new kinds of beautiful emoticons :)

    It would be lovely if I could get a sound notification when I receive a new message in addition to the vibration. It would also be lovely if I had s way to set a reminder timer for said message.

  18. Compact SMS Messages from contact level

    The Compact SMS Messages option is currently available from general settings, but it would be great to have it from the contact level.

    Sending sms with accents is supported by mobile service provider and devices here in North America as far as I know, but it seems some sms get lost or truncated when sent to other countries. For this reason, I would like to be able to turn this option from the contact level.

  19. Hold to Record - Can this be moved?!

    Surely there is a better place to put this option rather than where it is. I'm constantly hitting it without wanting to. Have it under the (+) or the ability to turn it off. PLEASE.

  20. I continue to receive duplicated text messages from people with the texts app. I'm using a Sony Xperia Z1S. why is this happening?

    How to stop textra from sensing me duplicated messages. Is anyone else having this problem?
