  1. Do not load entire thread in conversations

    This isn't an issue unless your conversations contains hundreds of messages. I've noticed whenever I go into a conversation that has a large number of messages, there is a lag before they appear. I'm guessing this is because Textra displays the entire thread at once regardless of the size of the conversation. To fix the problem I would have to delete the entire conversation to remove the lag. Obviously this is frustrating.

    I suggest that instead of loading the entire thread containing hundreds of messages unnecessarily, load probably the last 50 messages. This saves on processing time to display the…

  2. automatic correction

    Automatic Spelling suggestion opens a large popup, but more often i can't find the word i seek. When i try to close this popup, the keyboard disappears. A bit annoying...

  3. Leave the quick response box open for multiple texts

    Sometimes when responding to a text in quick response, RIGHT AFTER clicking the 'send' button, I'll realize that I have something else to say or maybe forgot to include in previous text. By this time I have to go to home screen or notification panel to start a new message. Since it's so convenient to swipe right or press 'back' to close the window, you should just leave the box open to allow for multiple messages to be sent if necessary; at least as a preference in settings.

    Ideally for every person's text message the background could be customized so it's not as simple as a dark or gray scale theme.

  12. Option to have emoji button on keyboard or enter button on keyboard as default.

    Currently the only option is to have the enter button on the keyboard. In order to get to emoji symbols you have to hold it down and slide up to access emojis. I would like an option to choose between a default of enter or emoji on the keyboard.

  13. Kind of defeats the purpose of using custom messaging notifications if your pop up notification defaults to the annoying android whistle.

    Allow user customized notifications to be the pop up notification sound.
