  2. Customize groups!

    I can't edit my groups! Is there a way? If not, it should be added to settings or as another page besides the inbox.

  4. choice between square and round bubble in conversations

    I personally like the bubbles in fb messenger, round shape. it's great to be able to choose the colors of bubbles, would be greater to have different shapes to choose from

  5. the sent tone to be the report.

    Or choose between the 2. That sent sound is the perfect little sound for just audio clarification that your text has been delivered.

    I would love to see the option to swap them I'f that possible? In the settings thwre could be a option to have that sent sound for delivery report instead of sent clarification. Hope you understand what I mean.

    The reason I would like this is because my eye sight isn't best (old age lol) and a audio sound to confirm delivery would be fantastic for me. And what better sample to use than the sent tone?…

  7. Have custom fonts. I have a retro font pack that I downloaded but I can't use it on textra because it uses its own font.

  8. Not text the wrong person.

    I recently switched to Android from Apple and I love textra. But an issue im having that I never had with apple is ill amswer someone in the floating window and then they will text again but this time ill go to the actual app and type my message. the problem is its still on the recipient from before I started my current conversation. Maybe when opening the app open directly to the lists of conversations or open to the most recent conversation. Thank you.

  9. Display notification icon if phone is locked and Textra has a conversation open.

    If a conversation is open, then the phone screen is locked, no notification is displayed when a new message is received. Would be a good feature to display the icon.

  11. Be able to edit a contacts settings without having to have a conversation on the screen first

    As it stands now, in order to customize a contacts settings (notification tone, bubble color, vibration settings, LED color, etc.) they have to have text you or you text them and the conversation available in the app to long press and then select the custom settings. I propose being able to select any of your contacts, whether there is a conversation present or not, and be able to personalize them. That way you do not have to text someone or wait for them to text you before you can change their notification tone or any of the other custom settings…

  14. Force MMS sending option

    Some operators give free MMS. On the other hand they don't give free SMS. It would brew useful to have an option to always convert message into MMS.

  17. Fix / implement proper Draft functionality using Android API, as seen in: stock AOSP mms.apk / 8sms / Messages+ ...

    Textra uses some internal implementation.
    Other apps expose drafts to the system, so a draft written in one app can be opened and sent in another.
    Message threads with drafts are marked as such.
    If you download 8sms as well as Messages+ and try leaving a drafts to a few numbers, and open, the conversation in the other app, you will see...
    The problems with Textra are: /1/ it is nearly impossible to keep track of unsent messages, /2/ if you run out of battery while typing a message, who knows what happens, /3/ you lose drafts written in Textra…

  18. A theme creator

    An individual would be able to create their own theme. Pick out which colors they want to use for the message bubbles, outline, and background or use a custom image for the background of the conversation list and actual conversations.

  20. SMS restore bug

    Hi, it looks like there may be a bug in the way the indexer/message optimizer works. I bought a new phone and installed textra on it. I opened textra and it indexed existing messages, and received a message as well. Then I did a restore of all my previous sms messages from my old phone. Textra pulled in all the messages I had sent to my friends, but does not display any of their responses. All of my conversations look like one-way conversations where I sent them messages but never got responses. The default messaging app does show all of…
