Ability to Separate Group Chats
It'd be nice to have an option to isolate group chats on one page, and then text conversations on the "main" page.

Different layouts for favorite contacts at the top
So to be honest Apples default Messenger, text app is way way way more convenient than anything Android because you have huge bubbles at the top of your main people. So my request is can you change the layout as an option so we can have our top people at the top or frequently favorite contacts in a side by side grid.
Also why can't I react to an image someone sends me? I can react to a comment only. Also why can't I react after someone reacts to a comment. Only one reaction is allowed.

Identify the sender
Different colour or icon if the last message in a conversation was sent from me. I would like to know if the other person is waiting for my response.

like on iOS, where you can hold a message and reply to it specifically. would be amazing to have!

Bug - Messages not being marked at read
Messages that I've opened in the app are not being marked as "read". Can you fix this bug? I've tried reopening the message and scrolling up and down on the message thread, but when I return to the main screen, I still see a counter for unread messages. This is happening for multiple chats.

conversation search
I know you can search for keywords on the main screen, but can you put a search option on the actual contact? I know who I was talking to haha, just don't remember when. Def helpful when it's like household passwords shared and that; I know who. Just is frustrating when it pulls up every conversation with everyone else esp when it doesn't search specific words. For example if I type "time" it will pull every "me" cuz it's in the word time. makes it impossible to find useful.

It would be nice to have the ability to search within a specific chat with a person for key words.

Format View for Galaxy Z Fold (foldable phones)
When will Textra change the view to take advantage of the larger screens on foldable devices? Both Samsung and Google messages allow all messages to be shown in a list on the left side of the screen, and then the selected message from the left to be viewed in full on the right side of the screen.

Add notification setting for text messages from short codes (Nuisance control)
The setting to change the notification behaviour for unknown contacts is great, however now messages from short codes (banks, UPS/USPS etc) also are impacted by that setting. It would be great if another similar setting could be added for those.

Deleting Days
Similar to photo album functions (Google Photos for example), it would improve efficiency to have the ability to delete texts by days, in addition to individual selection.

pin to the bottom
the ability to pin important messages to the top is great. It would be also nice to be able to diminish very unimportant messages that do not need to be trashed but also aren't looked for very often. So if you was the ability to pin messages to the bottom of the list, I believe many people would find that useful.

Relocate Resync to Settings menu
The resync option in the About section should be at the bottom of Settings. i would not think to look for anything in the About section if it wasn't for a solution found deep in a Reddit post to fix MMS issues.

Time Zone Adjustments
I currently have a family member on vacation in France and I'm in the US. I find myself asking my phone what time it is in Paris a lot so that I know where she's at in her day before I send her texts. Could a feature be added for us to set a contact as being in another time zone, either permanently or temporarily (within a date range we set)? In the conversation, maybe we could then see the current time for that contact up at the top somewhere. I just want more automatic awareness of her time when…
