Reset to default settings option
I would like for there to be the option to reset settings back to the default. Specifically the icon color setting, since it overrode the custom icon set. Ideally by setting area eg: colors, SMS/MMS, etc.

Support non-English iOS reactions
Textra handles reactions from English language devices correctly. Reactions from devices that are using other languages, the reactions are sent in the device language:
Le encantó “[message] ” (Loved)
No le gustó “[message] ” (Disliked)
Idea is to handle the reaction regardless the response language of the sending device.1 vote -

Option to use Contact's notification settings instead of "one size fits all"
Seems like Textra just does it's vibrate/sound notification, even though I have special notification sounds/vibrates for certain people in my contact list.
How about an option for Textra to use the contact's sound/vibrate notification options instead of the current "one size fits all" approach to the same vibrate/tone for all texts? That would rock!!! 👨🏻🎤1 vote -
spam blocking/reporting
so at&t has a number to forward spam. unfortunately it's awkward... forward message to number they setup for, receive reply, copy paste the phone number it came from, paste into the message sent to at&t, send... if there was a way to automate this oh, it would greatly simplify spam reporting and many more people would report spam text messages which would then benefit of all of us. as it is, I only report about 25% just because I don't feel like going through all those steps. I don't know exactly what we need be done to accomplish this but…

Edit recommended smart reply options
I wish I could go into settings and edit the smart reply options. one of the most common recommendations is the word thanks and I never say thanks. I always say thank you I wish I could go in and edit that recommendation

Company name
Have an option to display organization name with the contact name; it could be before or after the name, with a dash and an other color than the name. Or on a second line, just below the name, in a smaller or different letter style.

auto block sms based on keywords or regex
alot of the spam messages contain a php url.
if we could auto block or quarantine messages containing ".php?" that would be a good start34 votes -
Option to..... Archive messages
The app is the best but I wish you could add an option to archive messages when you are done rather then deleting them or filling up your screen. I have several important texts but I don't text the numbers that often and they clutter my message page. Also, it will prevent from accidentally texting the wrong person as I do many times.

auto forward to email
It would be great to be able to set a rule that auto forwards text messages to an email address. Forwarding all texts would already be useful, but even better would be to have some filters/conditions that trigger the forward. e.g. from specific contacts, received outside of business hours, contains certain keywords, ...

unable to see text on lock screen
on my other message app I'm able to read my text as it scrolls onto my lock screen. in Textra all it says is one unread message.

private box ultimatum
considering the fact that you know how to receive messages although they are blocklisted, if you folks don't add a private message list before I find a suitable competitor, I'm leaving for good and I'm taking my friends with me.

need a setting to be able to set the date and time to send a text in the future.

less saturated colors
it seems like most colors are very saturated and vivid. I wish I could have a lot more colors that are less saturated, especially for contact theme colors. I think others would like this as well. just make most of the colors a little bit closer to white.

Mark messages as Unread and Create Folders
it would be great if I could Mark messages as unread after viewing them, and also sort by unread messages. I realize that you can pin conversations but that can quickly take up the entire screen. How about being able to create folders for sorting messages?

there should be an option to reply to specific messages in the thread. like Facebook messenger or Whatsapp.
