An option to display a contact's nickname rather than their full name

Block spam from email
This isn't a new or radical idea, but I didn't see anything for it besides how to block a specific sender, or someone not in contacts, or for filtering by specific criteria, which doesn't help with bots creating random emails from random addresses to send from. Can the ability to block all text messages coming from email be added? An allow list down the line would be great, but just block all from anything ending in ".com" would be extremely beneficial for many people. Call Button in Conversation Thread
Would it be possible to add the call button to the top of the conversation thread? This would save some taps in case you wanted to call a contact instead of message back.

different organization of pinned texts
I'd really like to see a different way of organizing pinned texts. A separate tab so you can still see the last message? Or just text bubbles at the top in a line and you can slide left and right when there's too many to fit?

Left swipe conversation options
When swiping left on your list of conversations, it currently only supports calling the contact. Please allow customizations like "mark as unread"

Save photos automatically
Options to:
1. Automatically save mms attachments (photos)
2. Display all attachments with the option to save individually, selected, or All.
3. As a message with an attachment is displayed, have a pop up with the option of saving it.
The thought being to allow catching up with saving photos without having to search manually, followed by doing it automatically or semiautomatically as messages are received.2 votes -

When you set up the phone in Android 12, you have the option of choosing bold text. This option does not come in Textra ....... and I HAVE selected "system" in the option under text in Textra!

Show Phone Calls
It would be helpful if phone calls showed up in the message string. When looking at conversations it is nice to see when I decide to call instead of replying via SMS.

theme colour across all options
I have a blue theme applied but if I go into the message list and select some message to delete the colour scheme changes to the default green until the action has been completed

deleted messages
make deleted messages available to delete and undelete for 30days and make the options when you go in your deleted folder to immediately delete for ever type of stuff . that's the kind of stuff Google messages has

Set a reminder for a message or thread that comes back up as a notification in X minutes/hours/days would be so helpful!

Group Chat - Toggle Initials On / Off
Topic - Would love to be able to toggle the initials of people in groups chats off completely.
The initials take up room and can be confusing when people have nicknames.

App crap
I did not have any problems until I did the new update and now it keeps shutting down on me and it takes twice as long to get one text message and fix it
