1. Block messages without numbers

   Would it be possible to block receivedSMS and mms that don't have a number identifing who sent it. It just shows spam@example.com

2. Notification icon colors.

   this may not be fixable on y'all's end as I believe this is handled by the OS but if you have someone with say a pink color text you you'll have a pink notification icon appear. If someone who is any other color texts you and the previous pink notification is still active the new text message will also be pink. if at all possible it'd be nice for each notification to have a color dependent upon the sender.

   I get a lot of login codes and read them on my watch. this doesn't turn off new message notification. is like to be able to set certain contacts to never give me message notification dot.

4. You Ain't Cool if You Ain't Down With The Boolean Clown, Yo!

   I've got two ideas which would, if implemented, would end global hunger, immediately stop the war in Ukraine, result in a Popeye's Chicken location to be opened within walking distance of every man, women, and child on Earth, and make it easier for me to find critical historic conversation segments enabling me to find the overly formal human name I told everyone I would be using to name my next cat far more efficiently, which who can argue would make everyone's lives a little bit better then before.

   So, these would be some profound capabilities here, thus, I expect the Textra development team to not just prioritize them above all other ideas, but I except them to drop whatever ideas they are currently working on to immediately start the development work for mine. My mom said I was smarter than most people she's met, and more handsome, so if that's the case, it should be self evident that everyone else's ideas are Ok, but mine are OKer. Now then, with my requisite sarcastic mocking of entitled "Karens" out of the way, we can move on to the ideas.

   Again, whilst they are somewhat similar and relate to the same type of function, that being added functionality to the current historic conversation search function, they are, alas, unique enough to break out into 2 distinct ideas. Below is one of two, each captured in a separate idea post.

   Game Changing Idea #2: Honestly I was a bit surprised (I won't use the word "disappointed" because that word doesn't inspire, and doesn't light a fire ... of creativity) when I realized this capability wasn't already baked into the delicious, moist, and delectable Textra Cake, but that's why you guys have this idea system.

   I realized that I was then committed to apply my poetic skills to propose this to the Textra development team, because I'm not willing to sit by quietly hoping the function will be added, I wanted, no, NEEDED to reject being part of the problem (by way of apathetic inaction), in favor of being part of the solution! That sense of hope I sense, hope my idea is implemented, it's not really hope, rather it's closer to a sense of pure entitlement and expectation. Almost like I feel a sense of ownership to the app, but not in the traditional, healthy way.

   No, this sense is more literal, more of a "I demand that you deep everything for my needs, because I fancy myself so incredibly important that I become irrational and angry if I'm not treated in the same way as the owner of the company." kind of feeling. I'm sure most people here have had the same experience and felt this way about any number of things. (More mocking, sorry).

   I've got some good news with will make you happy. This idea is so incredibly simple, the number of characters needed to describe it will represent less than 0.5% of the entirety of the post. What's that, did someone say something about brevity? Brevity, huh? GET OUT, YOU'RE DEAD TO ME!!!

   Ready? Here it comessss!

   Boolean Search Capability

   BOOM! What was that? Why didn't I just post the idea and omit the rest? Well, I suppose I should have expected a boring, killjoy might be reading this, they are everywhere you know? The answer to that disgusting question is that because I want all my Textra kinfolk to have the most fulfilling lives possible, lives filled with fun, happiness, love, and laughter. How fulfilling would it have been limited to reading?:

   The answer is not fulfilling at all, in fact, I would offer that it would have been emptyfilling for the vast majority of those who read it. I owe to all my kinfolk to never half measure anything, especially when I have unfettered opportunities to make someone, anyone laugh, and I'll bet at least one of you did.    Game Changing Idea #1: Add the capability to bracket your search to a specific conversation. This should be relatively easy to implement, and would best be done so by simply adding the existing search mechanism, a search text box located somewhere in the top header of each conversation, and configuring them to automatically impose an automated filter which is both automatically applied and transparent to the user, which limits the search to the whichever conversation the search is being conducted in.

   This is not meant to replace the current capability which executes a comprehensive, full system search of every historic conversation which have not been deleted. This simply enhances the existing search functionality and would provide a more robust text app.

9. Custom Naming for Group MMS Texts

   I'd like to name MMS Group conversations on my end. Of course the group would not see it, but it would be useful. At the moment I can color code the groups but not name them.

11. Create a group or folder of individual chats

    Useful when you're texting more than a few people perhaps when selling stuff or other business purposes, and there's no need to create a contact of each individual.
    Note this is not like a "group chat", you select a folder and see each separate chat expand from the folder and from there you select to open each chat individually.

13. delete failed pic

    my pictures will "fail to send" and the option to retry will come up in the notification center and in the text message itself.

    I will clear it out of my notification panel it and delete the pic in the text message itself and it will still resend again 8+times. in the convo it does not say that the person got the picture, it still says "failed" on the screen. but the person will have received it numerous times.

    if I "send it as new" it will arrive 'delivered" . they will get the new picture that I "sent as new" but they will also still get the one that "failed" numerous times.

    ~I would like to know if there is a way to stop the pending process of that picture so it's stops them from getting it 8+ times?
    ~Or am I doing something incorrect?

    I have reached out to Verizon, they pretend like they have no idea what I'm talking about.

    I have tried turning the airplane mode on and off to stop it from being in a pending process and that does nothing.

    I do have a newer phone, I have the Samsung Galaxy Z fold3, and it did it with my prior phone which was the Galaxy s21 if that is of any help.

    can we get more icons for our contact notifications?
    i have more contacts than the amount of icons we have to choose from and i really like to see the alert in my notification panel to prepare me for funny or drama!
    having colors icons would be AMAZING (i think we used to have that option a long time ago in the very beginning i have been with u that long!!!)

17. Edit a message sent to correct an error then resend

    Some times even after proofing, you see an errorafter sending. That can be because parts of long texts get hidden in the small space of the screen. It would help us not appear as idiots if we could edit the text then resend, as we can on Facebook.

18. Prevent links from untrusted senders/non-contacts being opened on tapping

    Links from unknown senders/spammers/etc. could potentially be dangerous. Being able to disable suspicious links from unknown senders would help users to stay safe.
