  4. Idea for message notification supression option

    Imagine you are doing something on your phone and someone texts you 4 or 5 things in a row.. and you get 5 alerts in 20 seconds.

    Now imagine if Textra allowed you to say, "After receiving a message, hide textra notifications for that user for the X amount of minutes."

    I'm already a paid user and this is the app I tell everyone to get for android but this would be a feature that you would be the first to roll out on any messaging app that I have heard of.

  5. "Ideas" improvement, allow comments on threads

    this would reduce clutter and consolidate ideas. as it is, if someone has an idea or suggestion, or even a solution to how to accomplish an idea, it ends up as a new post. so someone says "filter for spam words" and someone else says "filter for urls" and i say "filter with a selection box for fine tuning filters and build an autoreport spam function" they end up as separate ideas even though they all could be combined....   6. Turn sideways to handwrite

    Yeah like the iphone. It's the only feature I enjoyed. You could easily handwrite something by turning the phone sideways and drawing/writing something out to send to someone.

    Exclusive emojis only Textra users can see... Maybe users can make/suggest them? Interactive emojis. Different levels of emojis. Different genres. Different rated, G, PG, R, X.   9. Fix mobile number detection for imported contacts

    Not sure what happened, but at some point my contacts started showing numbers with all-caps labels, like HOME instead of Home, MOBILE instead of Mobile. I'm guessing they got re-imported somewhere and showed up like this. I noticed that the "Mobile Contacts Only" filter stopped detecting some contacts because of this. Please use case-insensitive matching for this.

  10. automated responses

    if you could can we get automated responses both on a individual messaging level and a global level? for example within a conversation you can set a pre-typed message to automatically send when you get a text message from a contact. There might also have a repeat switch at the individual level. as in if you want you can repeat one message over and over every time they text instead of having multiples. And then potentially have a global automated response that would be superseded by individual Auto contact responses but would send for everyone that texted you this one…

    I think it'd be helpful to have an option in settings to add a scroll bar to the side of messaging to more easily scroll up through message history.

  13. Retrievable Trash Bin

    I accidentally deleted a conversation with the vet instead of a spam conversation immediately below it with the same color and hash symbol. it would be nice if deleted messages were sent to a folder in settings somewhere or something that could be emptied out, but where you could also retrieve accidentally deleted conversations.
