Reaction converter should work with more languages
Friend has their iPhone language on Portuguese so when they liked a message it just sent a text to me as "Adurou '[message]'" because Textra doesn't seem to handle that.

Import/export messages/history!
I fucking love Textra and have been using it exclusively for years now. Only feature I've needed but not had has been message migration. I just got a new phone after a few years and realized I missed responding to a group chat for clients because it started the day I switched phones and I don't have the thread on my new phone. in this instance I can obviously just look at messages on my old phone and get caught up but being able to export and import between devices would be super helpful. Some ideas and assumptions:

z fold
there should be an option to where it splits the messages up like the default messenger does because of the tablet sized screen having the option instead of it being forced would make it really really nice

o2 delivery reports enabled via settings option (O2 work around)
giffgaff / o2 delivery reports are non standard and work by prepending *0# to the start of each message. so far only evolvesms has this option.
Can Textra get this added as its been requested since 2014 and nothing has been added. i know its a very specific feature for this network but its has over 23 million customers on this network. So many potential customers are missing out. With over 23 million customers, O2 runs 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks across the UK, as well as operating O2 Wifi and owning half of Tesco Mobile. O2 has over…

coworker filter
would be great to have a tab for coworkers or other contacts that you don't want on the main screen. right now I just use Blocklist but it's a few extra steps

swipe to dismiss bubble
The bubble feature is innovative, but cumbersome. I wish I could just swipe a bubble to the side to dismiss it.

Stop auto-enabling features with the updates.
App was already configured the way I wanted it. It updated, adding chat bubbles and changing several other settings. If I wanted chat bubbles, I would use another app.

set use set contact sleep scedule
I would like to set DND times per contact (which can be overridden). E.g. my son works nights and sleeps days, so I'd like any text I send him between 8am and 3pm to be scheduled at 3pm by default.

Reaction location
The translation of iOS reaction messages into reaction icons is great, but the position of the reaction should be on the same side of the message being reacted to as the user who sent it.
If the other messages from the person reacting are on the left of the screen, the reaction from them should be attached to the left of the message they are reacting to.2 votes -

Custom Notification Icons
Allow users to change the notification icon color just like you can customize other parts of the app.
as it is now, the notification icon for a new message follows the primary color used in the app. If a user chooses a dark color, that makes the notification icon almost invisible when on a dark background --and especially so when using an always on display (AOD), which comes standard with Samsung flagship devices.
Personally, I don't ever have my ringer on, I look at my phone's notification bar or the always on display to see when I have messages. I…1 vote
