option to Group recvd SMSs
I receive SMSs from my bank; they come from 5-6 diff numbers. Would be nice, if there was an option to Group all those under one name. When i tap the name, it should show the 5-6 headers of SMS; and the rest as usual.
Also, any new SMS in the Group, should show the red dot with number, on that group name

It would be nice to have possibility to setup the message center number!
In that case if your phone and your provider supports the VoLTE function and it is switched on in the phone, then you subscribe to the SMS service, when you are connecting to the network.
But if it is not supported one of the party, it is necessary to have the right message center number in the phone.
Normally it is on the SIM card, but it is not always the case.1 vote -
Remove photo/initial circles
I have used textra for the better part of a decade and the one thing I consistently request, and isn't hard to add, is the option to remove contact photos/initials (the circles on the left of messages in list) entirely. I want minimal and can't fully get it. I just want names, no bubbles/circles.

I thought textra had this feature at one time... But I cannot find it. Is there a way to create your personal quick replies that you can answer to a text message?

search return sent texts
from what I can tell, searching only returns results from text received, not text sent. not sure why that would be a limitation. at any rate it will be nice for search to return results from sent and received texts

1 hour mute
My brothers and I have a group chat and I often mute it as they're going back and forth. But then I forget I muted them. So would like a 1 or 2 hour mute.

it would be nice to be able to change the default location of saved attachments like pictures to the sd card

SIM1 SIM2 color code
Make the SIM1 and SIM2 badges different colors do that it is easy to differentiate at a glance.

Make notification sound even when app is open
Currently the app does not seem to have option for making a sound for incoming texts if the app is already open.

Activeness of the application
this app needs to be active always to post notifications of new sms immediately when received not when you enter the app,you discover there were new sms

Identify if I responded.
To be able to quickly see which messages I responded or didn't respond to with some sort of visual marker..
