  1. size of new message indication in conversation

    the size of the new message indicator in the conversation list is very small and hard to see since it's on top of different contact pictures. would like a way to change the size of that indicator and/or otherwise customize it so it's easier to see at a glance. changing the color is a nice option but doesn't do it for me.

  3. No text notifications while driving

    Connect to vehicle by Bluetooth so when driving you have no notifications & it sends message out that "I'm driving right now get back to you later."

    please add schedule messages where i can set my message time to be send....even if im not holding or using my phone it can sent a message..so that i cant missed to message someone even if im busy

  5. Export / Import Textra SETTINGS

    Have an option - either local or to the cloud (Onedrive, etc) or in an email - to backup and restore settings and personal preferences. Helpful if you need to wipe your phone or move to another phone.

  6. Wildcard blocking

    I get a lot of spam beginning with "ATT message". The is another app called "Pulse SMS" which has wildcard functionality, but a clunky interface. Why can't textra block by wildcard. As another user stated, "If my number were 4025012222, it'd be nice to be able to block "402501*" and instantly put a stop to all the spoofed messages."

  7. A Good Thought

    Quite awhile ago there was a texting app that had multiple designs plus extras to let you set up your personal backgrounds, like having a personal stationary. Also add sounds to the message. I chose the antique typewriter key sounds for messaging. I really enjoyed personally adding a personal touch .

  10. notifications on screen when opening the phone

    have the message notification on the home screen or better on a locked screen so you don't have to check the phone's notification panel every time you open it! to be absolutely sure not to miss anything!

  14. Textra Quick Compose Keyboard

    When using Textra Quick Compose the text is sent by touching Send in the notification bar. Instead, add a key to the keyboard that allows one to send from there. I'm using Android 12 on a Galaxy S22 Ultra.

  17. Message recycle/trash bin

    When you delete a message, it goes to a recycle/trash bin. The bin can be emptied, and if messaged are accidentally deleted they aren't lost for eternity and can still be retrieved as long as the trash bin hasn't been emptied after a message was deleted.

  19. "link library"

    I understand that it can be annoying when users refer to another app. However, a feature that I like in WhatsApp is having all the links put in a library as you did with media, and honestly i feel that's one of the few things that is missing from this amazing app. What I'm guessing is you wrap the link in a specific (span?) tag to allow the phone/app to determine what to do with it (link, calendar, phone, etc). would it be possible to change the media library to a content library, with divisions for phone, address, URLs, calendars,…
