show total number
Please show the total number of messages in the inboxes. My old Motorola phone did this.
This would help with an archive function.
There should also be an option switch to put the most messaged at the top, instead of the last message.2 votes -
quarantine/protect user from accidentally opening messages
When messages are sent to me, I am always worried about both opening the message accidentally, and allowing the malicious message/sender of the malicious message to retrieve my information (including passwords, etc.) as well as opening a backdoor into my phone and probably a way into my computer, LAN/other networks & servers, making virtually any kind of virus, including ability to monitor and actively access, change, or control anything at any time while remaining totally undetected for months or years. Send Scheduled Text on Repeat
May I please request an additional feature to scheduled text by including a repeat setting. i.e. Every 'x' minutes, seconds, hour, days, weeks.
This would be a big help, instead of copy and pasting hundreds of text and setting the schedule on each one. (example would be for my car gps tracker)

For people who have changed their number, please add a option to combine both sets of saved of old and new messages into one.

Multiple Texts in one send
Being able to send texts messages all at one time shot. For example if I want to wish my family Merry Christmas and I have option to send it at once without copy and paste and they won't be in group chat too

Trash folder!
Similar to what virtually all email accounts let you do - you can move a text to the trash folder which doesn't get deleted for 30 days or however many days you want to set this to. Agree with many others who have suggested this, as it's much too easy to accidentally delete a text message or entire conversation then you can't undo it here in Textra. Devastating! Please and thank you! I'd donate to make this happen.

Text forwarding
I work in an area where devices are not allowed. I have to leave just to check if I have messages. It would be beneficial if received texts would populate in the app and be forwarded to an email I specify.

Toggle Smart Suggestions
In messages like: "at 3 oclock" or "tomorrow at 5" times and dates underlined for ease of scheduling into calendars, but i find this makes the messages look cluttered and I would like to disable it.

Forward Text to a Group
I receive a text from an individual and want to forward to an existing group text string. Text groups should be listed like existing contacts. This feature is available in iOS.

Allow disabling notifications for non-contacts
I get a surprising amount of spam texts. Can there be an option in Textra to disable notifications for all messages except ones from contacts? Thank you!

background customization
i am pretty sure that u can add a wallpaper customization option... i sometimes want to add a background image to the chats but all in vein... would look pretty cool when that is added

Add Names to Existing SMS or MMS
It would be great if I was able to add new people to already existing texts. I realize the new people wouldn't see the previous texts and it might start a new text chain. It is really time consuming when I am in a large text chat with numerous people to have to go back and re-type all of the names to start a new thread just to add a name or two.

"Always open in app" option
Please add an option (setting) that would cause the Textra app always opening fully, instead of a floating window. It would be more convenient for some users.

Easily Find Locked Texts
Create a tab/search criteria to easily find locked texts. Or add ability to star texts you wish to reference later.

Inserting photos in message
When pressing on the + sign textra display all photos from gallery. Would be Nice if textra display the "albums" and allow user to select the album so textra will display only the photos from this album. Would be usefull when there is a lot of photos in gallery

contact image
be nice to have the persons contact bubble picture show up right next to each message they send

app size
a way to delete data without losing all your settings. the app becomes huge and deleting data is the only way to fix it. maybe a way to access thumbnails of mms to delete them or just a way to save your settings

time of day warning
It would be nice to have a setting where you could enter the time of day you consider too early for sending messages, and then have the app remind you when you try to send a message befits that time.
