  1. Dual Sim Error

    Hello, I am using textra for 5 years on different phones during this time. Now, I have a Xiaomi Note 9 Pro Android 11 and supported dual sim. But, I can't choice which sim card iş default sms card. Always i have to select during writing a SMS right of the SMS text area. I always must select 1 or 2 icon, right of writing SMS text area.     hello
    I just wanted to share this idea
    I this the app would be more cool if it allowed users to keep avatas on chats.... I mean instead of first later in upper caps, on my chats as avatas wat about user icon or even allowing us to keep pictures of the people we chat with.

  7. Timestamp format

    it would be cool if timestamps over text bubbles if within 1 week old said "Wednesday" or "Monday" instead of full date. On the main inbox screen it does this 😊

    Textra needs to implement encryption on sms messages to compete with what's app and Signal.

    Also Google's trying to come up with something similar.

    Would LOVE the capability to have the option (toggle on or off) of an auto response telling the sender that they have been blocklisted!

  10. Theme Color (Day and Night)

    Theme color should be adjustable too, not just the screen color. everytime the screen turns black (synched to Android setting), I have to adjust the theme manually to look good on black screen. There should be an option to sync the theme also, automatically.

    I/we are very grateful for this to be included in the future updates.

  11. Add setting to group messages from unknown senders

    In the conversation list, add a tab there that says "messages from unknown senders". That way, unwanted messages don't get mixed up from the ones that are liked.

  12. Needs to have my more personal opinions

    • Customize bubbles
    • Add background to any chat or front page
    • Having a backup text option
    • Being able to have react
    • Seeing reaction on both ios and os
    • A way to send Multi texts without having to make group chat at one shot.
    • Make groups folders
    • Themes would be nice
    • More icon choices
    • Block spam
    • Have unknown folder for numbers not added to contacts
    • Being able to read the text out loud on chat, pop up and notification (option)
    • Having more information about text message
    • Snooze texts
    • Unread option
    • Being able to have your own profile picture and customize it as…

  14. Option to add line dividers

    Option to add line dividers between each contacts messages so it doesn't just look like all your contact conversations are bunched together. Adding a line between each contact conversations would make it easier to read

  17. Support changing contact numbers?

    I was traveling internationally and had to change a contact's phone number by prepending "+1". Textra lost my conversation history and I couldn't get it back even by changing the contact # back..?! any ideas?

    The long-press menu on text allows you to SELLECT ALL, then long pressing again provides an option for spellchecking your entire message.
    -For those misfits who are THAT conscientious of their spelling.
