  1. Contact bubbles next to text messages

    I was using another app before I stumbled across textra. I believe it was called next sms. In next sms you have the option to have a bubble next to each contact or no bubble where it just shows the contacts name and the message. I personally like the option of not having bubbles next to each person's text message I think its a much cleaner experience. I very much enjoy textra over other sms apps just wish this was an option.

  2. set names in group chat without creating contacts

    in a group chat, often you don't know everyone in it or wish to have them as contacts. it would be nice to be able to simply give each phone number a label similar to how you can rename the entire group chat

  5. Duplicates

    Really need away to clean up messages that start duplicating within the message. I currently have a back up that has over 1.5gb of data because every entry is in every message 3 or 4 times. I have tried restoring a old backup but it just adds more entries.
    Need away to stop this or away delete duplicate entries in a message

  7. folders

    allow us to drop conversations into folders. I'm a contractor and organizing messages would really help me keep up with clients. I'm a pro user for years, but started looking at other apps. nobody has a usable folder feature.

  9. Fix mobile number detection for imported contacts

    Not sure what happened, but at some point my contacts started showing numbers with all-caps labels, like HOME instead of Home, MOBILE instead of Mobile. I'm guessing they got re-imported somewhere and showed up like this. I noticed that the "Mobile Contacts Only" filter stopped detecting some contacts because of this. Please use case-insensitive matching for this.

  10. Custom Blocklist Filter

    Just let me make wildcard entries in the Blocklist. *@... block. this would eliminate half my spam. That's really not hard, I can Blocklist an email sender but I can't manually enter an email to the blocklist... come on.
    You can probably expand that to "if not in my contacts" with a text filter that I customize (25% of my spam has a specific name in it, not mine). anything with a URL would eliminate the rest.

    Paid user here and now I'm looking at default messaging app...

  11. PLEASE!!!!! I'M BEGGING YOU!!

    Make a spam blocker option. I'm a premium member and lately I get several spam texts a day that I have to manually block. It's like if they could just automatically be blocked since they show up as an email address and not a phone number. Please make this a feature. These are driving me insane

  18. copy/paste

    Hello, Today I Learned on this forum that "tap on bubble" open a Textra Menu that offers "copy,..." instead of the Android "Long Press" option.
    Reading others feedbacks, I think developpers should show the Textra Menu when I long-press, AND copy the entire text immediatly to save clicc. Thanks for your great work.

  19. Only notify for reactions/likes to texts sent by you

    Another user proposed turning off notifications for reactions/likes, which would be great. this suggestion is for an option to only be notified when someone reacts/likes a text sent by you, not receiving notifications for reactions/likes for everyone in your text chain.

  20. Switch from bulk to chat in message

    it would be great if there was a switch at the top of the individual message screen that allowed switching between chat and bulk messaging. I always forget to switch it in settings and end up sending the wrong type of message. thank you!
