  3. Colours

    I think it'd be awesome if we had a full colour wheel to pick from or type colour codes for more customization options and it'd be great if we could be able to set the text colours on individual chats or have it automatic. (like dark colour bubbles would have white or light grey words and light bubbles would have dark text)

  5. Way to Archive messages

    It would be super helpful for me, if there was a way to archive a conversation. I don't like to delete my text messages after I'm done with them, I have to keep them for backup information for my business. However, if I could move them to another folder to clean up my inbox, I would be over the moon grateful!

    what happened to predictive spelling, when you spell the word and it's misspelled you should be able to tap on it and it will give you a list of correct spelling of the word

  7. Report scammer messages

    I've been getting scam messages and if I'm tired I might accidentally click on a (for example) phishing link.

    I might offer this as a starting point:

    1. Report the message to the FTC
    2. Block future messages from the sender
    3. Encourage users to report scams
    4. If the sms is verified to be a scam, block the sender from ALL Textra users.
    5. (Unsure about this one) Report to the sender they have been identified as fraudulent and reported to the FTC

    Issue: Haven't seen this lately but in the past a virus could hijack a users sms and send messages without them…

  9. notification for unsent messages

    Currently when a message is not sent for whatever reason it is marked with a green bar with an "!" but if you don't go back in the message you have no way of knowing it wasn't sent. It would be great if we could be notified that a message had not gone through and then have that chat thread marked in your home screen message list.

  10. share as email change

    and your last design you got rid of the actual share as email link and have now just the share icon but in doing so you eliminated carrying the timestamps of the messages forward in the shared email. with no timestamp data you lose the ability to document the timeline in the conversation please, if you're going to eliminate the share as email option at least bring back the time stamp being carried forward

  16. Condense pinned conversations

    Have an option too only show contact icon for pinned conversations. I have 5 or so pinned conversations, and they take up the whole screen in the app. It would be nice if I could condense my pinned messages to make room for the rest of my conversations.

  18. pgp encryption

    add in an option to encrypt/decrypt using openkeychain and pgp. this would be very simple to implement and would allow users to verify and securely communicate with each other.

  19. spam filters

    other texting apps have ability to add filters like "contains" and ways to filter senders directly into a spam folder and bypass a notification. this would be very helpful
