  1. SMS RECEIVED IN DUAL SIM

    Most of us use dual SIM mobiles, wherever we receive a SMS, we can't find through which SIM it was received

    textra random selects sim1 and sim2 for sending. in settings sim 1 is default for sending. must check which sim is using every time...
    is it a bug ? only me?

    Can you add OPT detector like in android messages?this feature would really help! Like an option to copy otp directly from notification like android messages.

  4. Option to use the AMOLED black theme in automatic night mode.

    Currently, we can only use the "Dark" option for light/night mode. I'd like to see an option to use the AMOLED black mode instead.

  6. Trash box

    For reasons I do not fully understand, I sometimes accidentally delete a txt message. It would be great if they went to a trash box instead of disappearing forever! Maybe include a setting for how many days to keep deleted messages.

  7. Delete For All Option

    A delete for all option to delete text for both sender and receiver...just like WhatsApp. If Textra could do this to recall messages sent to any network it would beat WhatsApp in any angle. Sometimes you just change your mind about messages or send a message to the wrong person and wanted to cancel that.

    Read messages out loud when connected to Bluetooth. Example, will read ur messages out loud while in the car through the speakers. YAATA has this feature which is very nice.

    It's really hard noticing the unread messages. It would be really helpful if they were shown in bold text or different colours.

    we should have a feature where u can secretly hide who you are txting and you can put a four digit code in to access hidden features that only the user is aware about.

    I would like to create my own sms rules that automatically send certain words or senders via SMS to the specified groups. Like in SMS Forward app.
    As a volunteer firefighter, we notify each other via SMS and that is why this development is very important to us.

    I would like to be able to transfer all my old phone's messages to my new phone, as in a case of a losing your phone or having your phone die. Maybe backup to an online profile or database

  16. Multiple options for sorting messages

    Headers for sections would make it much more visually appealing and easier to see how the list of messages are organized. See the Pulse texting app for an example. I love how it has a header for each section and sorts my pinned conversations at the top, followed by the conversations from today, then this week, and finally older conversations. So much easier to find things! Also options to filter or sort by read vs. unread messages. Everyone likes to sort things differently. Give users the option to customize this. But either way, please add headers to organize the list…

  17. Detect and move security code messages to a separate folder

    We all get these one-off 6-digit codes by text clogging up our actual conversations with friends.

    Seems like you could detect these messages with some simple flags:

    • was the contact in your address book?
    • did you need to create a new thread?
    • if there's a thread, has it already been identified as a code generating contact?
    • does the message contain 4 or more numbers in a row??
    • does the message contain words like 'code,' 'security,' etc.

    Once a message is identified, move it to a new folder or keep a single thread with multiple messages dropped there.

  20. Still waiting for the "typing or writing" notification

    Would like to be able to to see the person I texted responding to my text. It could say "typing or writing" You can maybe even do the °°° thing that Messenger does when someone is responding to your message.
