  1. suggestion for option

    Any way of adding a quote option so we can reply to the quote. so if a message was sent a few days later and you wanted to reply to that message quote you can so the other party knows what you're referring to after 2 day old message?

  4. Additional Keep Idea

    Instead of specifying how many messages to keep only, have option to keep by age.
    Like say keep last 7, 14, 30 days, an maybe say 3 months.
    Would be VERY helpful for me at least. Especially since number in given time frame varies.

    is there a way to have the app support two numbers. as in one for original number and another for a Google voice number?

  6. In textra app on Android, allow right swipe to delete text. Also, archive all conversations for later use after swiping left.

    Swipe right, one step delete. Swipe left, archive conversation and remove it from active list.

  7. Release Notes - Details

    Please consider adding more details to the release notes, in some capacity, so that users experience bugs can know whether or not their bug has been fixed. Simply stating "bug fixes" does not help users of the app know what was actually changed

  10. Note to Self when messaging own number

    When messaging your own number in the app, instead of sending and receiving the same message, just post the message in sent without actually sending it (and thus not receiving a duplicate copy). Idea taken from Signal app which I recently moved from due to incompatibility with another app I want to use

    when i get the sms, i can hear vibrations, but there is no message sound, can you do something about it? i love your app, it's fantastic, but i can't hear it

    We have the great ability to change the colors of our message bubbles, but it would be great to change the color of the text as well besides just white, grey, and black.

  15. move send button away from keyboard

    I often get caught out accidentally sending a message before completing it. This occurs when I tap on the message to edit it and accidentally hit the send button.
    I see 2 solutions:
    Give the option of shifting the send button away from the keyboard.
    Or
    Give the option to be presented with an "are you sure?" dialogue

  16. chat option!

    I would like to be able to see if someone has received or read my message. I know some carriers are responsible for this, but for the carriers that dont support chat, we could all use textra and know whether the messages go through or not.

  17. Notification cool down period per thread to limit chatty threads

    Some group chats are very active. It's annoying to get notifications every 20 seconds. I would be super nice if we could set notification limit by thread. Example, after notification, there will be a 5 minutes cool down period. No notification is allowed during this cool down period for that thread.

  19. Favorite Contacts

    When you currently favorite a contact, you can see all the numbers that are associated (mobile, home, work). we should be able to choose a specific number to appear so it's less cluttered!

  20. Add Undo Button

    Sometimes when I'm typing something out I mess up and try to delete a specific part of my message. However, I end up deleting something else or adding more errors. By having an undo button, I could fix my mess up quicker.
