  1. Maybe you could update the icon? Just tweak it a little bit. Make it look like it's 2018. I really love this app. New icon please

    Don't change up the icon that much. Just make it look like it's 2018! The little notification icon could use more color choices. Add auto retrieve on MMS. Bring that back please? Have us change the icon with in the app.

  5. Custom notification sounds

    It's really irritating that textra won't accept the notification settings for my contacts, or my groups. If I want a special alert sound for an individual, I must set it in textra-- VERY ANNOYING, specifically because I can't begin to alter the settings for a contact within textra until I text them or they text me. Then I have to remember to do it when that individual is finally on my active text log. Sheesh!

  9. Allow auto trimming (or at least a warning and manual trim) of videos too large to send like Verizon Message+ does

    I've been struggling for days to send videos to my girlfriend. once I turned off Textra and went to the default Verizon app (Messages+) it warned me that the video was simply too large to send, and would let me manually crop to sendable sizes so I could cut into segments to send.

    it would be AMAZING to:
    1. have a warning that the video it too large to send rather than just getting an undeliverable message 5 min later
    2. allow auto-trimming of videos too large to send
    3. if that's not feasible, allow manual trimming to sendable sizes.

  11. Auto Away Message

    I think textra needs an away message, not only can you switch it on if you are in class or sleeping etc... but also if you are just feeling anti-social. "Hey, I know I'm posting to social media, but I'm exhausted from human interaction. I still love you, but I'll get back to you in 3-5 business days." That just seems a lot nicer than ignoring someone.

    I know you have a drive mode one, but I really think this is helpful!

    Having the ability to receive texts from myself. Basically they would function as reminders or "todo" tasks with custom chime.

  16. More customized control of audio playback

    It would be super useful to be able to skip forward/backward in 5 to 10 second increments on audio messages or even just be able to seek by pressing on the track bar. This is mostly because if the screen turns off when playing, you have to restart from the beginning, which is super annoying. So also making audios play even if screen turns off or at least remember where they were.

    be able to send a message at a future date. type it out, select when you want it to send, and then it will send when it gets to that date not when you typed it out. the system texting app does this

  18. turn received text into a Samsung or Google reminder

    sometimes I get a text that I want to be reminded about at a later time. with the Samsung messages app I can turn a text into a reminder. it's a nice feature. we're all getting older. the demand for a feature like this will only get greater as the user base ages and forgets things! :) Thanks for a great app.

  19. Move the "SEND" button

    the send button is placed at the end of the typed text. sometimes when you go back to correct a word and then want to return to where you were typing, if the line was full you can easily send prematurely.
