  3. Draft backup

    Well that explains everything. My phone softbricked and I've lost all my drafts :l
    Would it be nice to sync all the messages + drafts on external sd card?

  4. Contact groups tabs

    It will be great if I could to add some contacts to tabs (for example "family" or "Colleagues") and turn on/off notification and another notification settings for each tab. Switching tabs by swype to left or right.

  5. Delete people from conversation

    You should be able to delete people from a group text. If you accidentally put in a number that you cant text from...then you have no way of knowing which number is wrong and you can't go back and delete numbers to correct it if you do know which one is wrong.

  6. a choice in settings to swipe to close conversations or not

    it would be great if we had the option to choose whether a conversation can be closed with a swipe of a thumb or not... I prefer not, but several times a day, I accidentally swipe a conversation closed

  7. Keep quick reply open

    On newer versions of Android, we have rich notifications. These give us buttons to reply or mark as read. After I use the reply button, the message gets removed from the notification shade. This is a problem when I want to reply with multiple messages, as is common these days. It would be nice to keep all of my currently active conversations open in the notification shade, even after I've replied.

    Android Messenger has this feature. I switched from Textra to Messenger after this feature was added but before Textra had the native quick reply. This behaviour keeps me on…

  10. Quick Voice Memo

    It would be really convenient if the Quick Voice Memo had the ability to send a voice-to-text option in addition to sending an audio clip message.
    I do really like the audio clip idea though. It's something new and actually an idea that I had myself, until I downloaded your app. It's really neat. But it would be even better if there were both options. Like, when you "hold to record" on the mic... maybe if you only "tap the mic" it could dictate to text instead of audio... or just add another icon option (or something like that). But…

  12. Exclude Galleries

    I noticed that when attaching images Textra will display the entire contents of images on the device. I think it would be a great feature to build in an option so Textra will only look in certain folders or exclude entirely. For the sake of privacy it'll help what others may happen to see if you are sending messages.

  16. Mark as Read from Notification (not "Unread")

    When I get a text message, the two options I have from the Android notification are "Mark As Unread" and "Reply". The "Reply" is useful, but the "Mark As Unread" makes no sense to me. I feel like that was supposed to say "Mark As Read."

    When I'm looking at a text from the notification bar, that means that I read it without having to open the Textra app. Why would I then want to mark it as unread? It is already marked as unread in the app. What makes more sense would be to mark it as read from…

    some time we need to copy only some of the text not the hole message ... for example some time they send address ... I wish I can copy just the address so I can paste to map... I hope you can do this for us thank you so.

  20. text ringtones

    it would be great if you didn't have to go in and turn on sounds for each contact in order to hear and incoming text message. the default should be on not off.
