  1. Custom Vibration Patterns A12/13/14

    Global settings for vibrate patterns on AOSP and Pixel have been removed in newer android versions. Chomp SMS has an app specific call for vibrate patterns on notifications, and has a custom option that allows users to input the length of time in seconds for vibrations and paused (e.g., 0.12,0.1,0.12 would be two short vibrations with a slight pause in between). Would very much like to see this in Textra.

  2. Custom Fonts in Textra

    Textra has a lot of customization features, such as lots of options for color, bubble style, and emoji style.

    However, while Textra seems to be good at everything else, font customization doesn't really seem like a strong suit of theirs.

    Font customization is what gives an app it's personality. If you're a fan of a cursive script font, that means you're fancy and like the reminder of a handwritten text. A pixelated font means you're a gamer and spend most of your life online. A serif font tells you that someone just likes things simple and plain. All of this…

  3. Password Protected/Hidden Threads

    Would love the ability to hide threads behind a password, in its own section. Also add the ability to autolock after either idle time or set timer.

  5. Add option to allow a single color for a group chat even is some of the contacts have pictures associated with them

    I have group texts and some of the people on the text I have a headshot in my contacts and others I don't and it would be great to have an option for that group text to be set by user to a color I pick as opposed to only having the option to have a mix of pictures and in some cases a portion of the bubble having a color. this way would be easier for me to know which groups I have. I'm sure this must be something that others would enjoy as well

  7. more formats for parsing contacts via share to Textra

    I have an app that tries to launch a new group message to a list of contacts, but the contacts aren't parsed out by Textra. The format is +13125554444;+13853332222; etc. There are no spaces and the international prefix may or may not always be included. Textra sees this as one contact so the message fails to send.

    It would be nice to be able to snooze a message so it would pop back up with a notification after a set amount of time. If I read a message but don't have time to respond right then, I tend to forget about it.

  10. please let us block messages that contain keywords we have added to a list.

    Many of us get phishing or spam saying things like, Netflix is locked, or, fed-ex has a package...
    We should be able to put words like Netflix, fed-ex, Scotiabank & other common spam message words into a list that would block or automatically delete messages containing those words.
    Even better would be if we could block them unless the sender is in our address book.

    Can we please have some more fonts added to have a bigger and better selection? I'm sure it would be an easy update. I just thought maybe it might draw more people to the app!

  17. ! PROTECT TEXT THREAD !

    Looong time textra user. I've accidentally swiped and deleted an entire text thread before. There needs to be a safety protect or lock option so that important text chats can't easily be deleted.

  19. Share pics w/i app

    so if i take a pic from the app i have to save 1st before i can send to another person via text. even if i have automatically save turned on. i have no issues sharing to another app, but not w/i the app. same for forward. can only go to the original recipient. unless i am doing something wrong. but if i take a pic thru the app, and have automatic save on, unless i manually save the pic its not saved. seems to be extra run around is all

    Please add this function, which is avalaible in others SMS apps (Google, Samsung) or messaging apps (Viber, WhatsApp,...).
