Remove contact icon
Way of removing the contact icon in the msg? Takes up text space. Put it in the title bar.

Google messages is trying to compete and level the massaging field with iPhone users. Textra is already ahead of the curve by matching emojis and showing iPhone reactions on messages. Let's take it a step further with RCS support so we can send full quality pictures and videos!

it would be nice if I was able to text myself grocery lists tidbits of information picture messages videos and it didn't double up in other words a smart text feature that knows when it's sent to the mobile number not to mirror it

Mute conversation
I would like a feature where a specific conversation could be "muted" for a period of time. For example, if a group text is extremely active for a while and I don't want to participate at that time and all the notifications are bothering me, I would like to mute that conversation for 30 minutes. I don't want to mute my phone because I want to receive all my other notifications. Sometimes, I just want to stop getting pings and vibrations from a really busy group text until I can turn to it later and read it all.

Unread text always on top
it would be great to have the conversations with unread messages always at the top of the list.
basically, it would do the same job than "to pin a conversation" but in an automatic way :
1. click the "unread button" = it pins the conversion
2. once the text is read, it unpin it.1 vote -

hello, i work in a school and i use textra to communicate with parents. I sometimes send 1 sms for 400 people. I would like not to have the alert message which indicates that a large number of messages are sent and I have to confirm each time and it is painful. is there a solution to this problem?

dark mode background/txt visibility
Hi, we have to choose some color sets (text/bckgd) that works good in sunlight (colors are different enough to read the msg) but are bad to seen on dark mode. Can You create a rule that improves visibility, for example 'in dark mode leave txt clear white (FFFFFF)'? And another thing, i have some situations like riding a bike, when I try only to read ahort msg ' i' m waiting 4U at coords:... ' but i cause to small (default) text. Maybe is possible to zoom text size by pressing volume +- buttons?

Better spam protection from unknown numbers
maybe have an "unknown" folder, like the spam folder in emails, where unknown contacts get filtered to without being seen.

Background Images on Messages
Basically the title, samsung has it on the default messages app. Where essentially you either choose a photo from the gallery or you choose a solid color. With your color wheel on this app it'd be 1000 times better than messages.

Move frequently messaged contacts to top of list
Where we can customize which contacts are placed at the top of the messaging list (and the ability to remove that contact from the top of the list too). It would be helpful if I could add my kids to the top of the messages so as to find them quickly!

Change the color chooser
May we please have a more standard color picker? Maybe ARGB? HSV? Color rainbow box/circle to tap anywhere? I've nick-named this apps' color wheel "Circular wheel of pastel circles" because every single shade is too pastel, not saturated enough Like watercolors almost. Please update to something a little more modern /recent/accessible?

Notification text split
I want to be able to pull down the android notification menu and see the message text, but I don't want the notification to pop up over apps.
I want easy access to the text without accidently showing friends/family what my SO sent me if I'm showing them a funny video or whatever.
Seems it's show on both or neither at this point.1 vote
