  2. Give an an option to allow opening links by default.

    The Open/Copy/Share menu when clicking on a URL is pretty unhelpful. It slows down the common case (opening the URL in the browser/app) just to duplicate options that are already available in the long-press menu. Please let us turn it off.

    it would be great if I could Mark messages as unread after viewing them, and also sort by unread messages. I realize that you can pin conversations but that can quickly take up the entire screen. How about being able to create folders for sorting messages?

  8. Scroll-Select Multiple Messages + Select Messages on Calendar Date(s)

    I am not seeing any mentions of this idea yet, and I think it belongs on Textra. Its always so nice when apps allow you to Scroll-Select of whatever items are within (photos, emails, notes, etc.). There's an API that allows for long press an item and drag up/down/sideways to select the adjacent items. In other words, you continue holding down and selecting additional messages.

    You can typically do this in your default Samsung apps including your Email, Gallery, Notes, and in plenty of 3rd party apps as well.

    Should be a simple add-on feature, and very useful. Hate having…

  9. 2 Visual changes to conversations overview

    1. It would be awesome if we could add a coloured bar or dot somewhere in line with a conversation rectangle (what appears in the list of all convos when opening the app), which matches whatever you set their accent colour too - especially useful if you have a contact picture which obscures that colour already.

    2. It may be nice to have the ability to change how all these conversations display or are listed together, like bubbles or a grid size of one's choosing, instead of just a vertical list sort of view.

  10. liking messages

    So far with Textra I haven't found or seen anyway to "like" messages. You can on regular android texting and on iphone, but you can't with Textra.

    Will there ever be a way to do that? Or am I missing something?

  11. Notification Reminder

    Hi
    Been using the app for years; in fact bought the 'Pro'.
    Love it, apart from one bit.
    Could you (on next update) please have 'timed' reminders instead of 'frequency'?🙏🏼
    I often miss messages when I've been away from my phone for say ½ hour or so. I have 2 reminders in frequency, but they end after a couple of minutes, and there lies my problem.
    Say every 1-2-3-5-10-20-30 minutes.

    I've reverted back to my stock Samsung messenger because it has automatic blocking of spam. Pretty disappointing that Texted is so far behind with this

  15. Start view at first unread message when opening a conversation

    Opening a conversation always brings you to the bottom of the conversation at the newest message. In conversations with a lot of new messages, I have to scroll back up, find the last message that I read, and then work my way back down. It would be nice if the default view when opening a conversation started you where you last left off. Similar to WhatsApp.

  16. messaging reaction for Android

    Like Messenger, iMessages, Snapchat and Instagram, it would be cool for Textra to have the message reaction, so when there's nothing else to reply or it's just some funny multimedia message.

  20. Choose mms storage.

    Textra doesnt let you choose where you want to store mms that u save. Have note 20 ultra Samsung and it goes to Gallery automatically instead of Google photos. Is there a way to change this. Tks
