I'm confused. Who wrote this? Am I reading a Textra page or Google page?
More and more I see Google Android taking over settings that Apps once had. This gave a reason to use an app other than Google's. In addition, I see the comments offered in a search returned page to be unsigned, so you don't know the date or author of the advice. This lack of responsibility for answers to A Google search just shows the inability for anyone to own a statement only proves that Google is just not as transparent as they should be and opens up a question as to the accuracy of the statement. pinned groups that stay pinned
I also use mood messenger and the one feature I love I wish was added to this app is the ability to pin a convo to the top and be able to delete the the contents of the text while the group of people or person's you sent to stays pinned so you don't have to keep making the group or person all over again it's nice when you use the same group of people all the time to be able to just go click and send a new message and you don't have to go into your contacts again…

Conversation Cleanup
automatically delete conversations that have not been opened or used for a variable amount of time. This would help keep the app clean with only active or pinned conversations showing up all the time.

Can the minimum messages to keep be reduced from 25 to 1?

add ability to create and name a group of a few people quickly and only within textra. contacts might be able to but on a corporate system you might not have that option.

adding ads to it broke the program.
I didn't know it would add ads but that popped up today and I can no longer type.
I had a long detailed message composed and it automatically deleted it and went back to the homepage on its own.
My message is gone.
It only allows a short block of text now and deletes anything else automatically.
pretty well disabled now. useless.
I would have considered buying it but pretty annoyed they deleted my messages trying to extort money.1 vote -

Ability to Send More File Types
As of right now, the only file types that are supported are images and videos (which include different formats in it of themselves, but you get the idea). It would be great if we would be able to send things like mp3, docs, and other random file types as well

is there any plan to add auto reply when driving? with the laws this would be a nice addition, other texting apps have this feature built in and it makes it nice. is there any plan on adding this option?

export blocklist

recently text message spam has started increasing dramatically. it would be great to have a way to export or backup the block list when moving between devices.thanks

Show number of unread messages in notifications
Show the number of unread messages you have received from someone in notifications. If they send multiple, show how many they have sent which you have not read. The problem is that right now, you dont know if someone sent you only 1 message or multiple.
This used to be there but was changed in a recent update I think. Anyone know how to get it back?

group message display
if contacts have personalized color themes and they are part of a group message, allow for the colored circle in the main message list for the group message to look like a pie chart with the different personalized colors. This can be overridden if someone wants to choose a theme color for the group as a whole
