Option for quicker delete
Currently to delete single messages require three actions. Swipe, tap trash can one, tap trash can again. Whilst some people may like this level of tipple could bfirmatiob, for many it's a nuisance.
I suggest making the delete actions optional. Such as, 1. Swipe message right, and it deletes, 2l swipe right and tap trashcan once, 3) or the current method, of swipe right, then tap trashcan twice.Personally, I want to just swipe and it's deleted. It would be so much quicker and perfectly fine.

Pop up for OTP
Copying OTP in notification panel itself is super convenient like Google messages and sms organizer.

Mark as read
Please add mark as read when the message arrives without opening the app

Manually replace phone number with name
If I delete a contact from my contact list, the phone number is shown.
I would like the ability to manually enter the old contact's name in place of the phone number or next to the phone number.

Name conversation
Previously, I made a suggestion regarding textra recognizing Google'S contacts labels and displaying those labels instead a list of names in the conversation view of your app.
I think a simpler and easier option for textra to accomplish a similar and, potentially, other goals is to leverage the "customize conversation" options in Textra.
In that section you could add the option to "name" the conversation. This would open up a lot of options:
Parents with several children could name a conversation "all the kids"
A name could be the "parents in law," "step kids," "work friends," "football party," "party guests,"…1 vote -

Bug: muting 1 group chat will mute other group chats
I'm having trouble replicating, but muting 1 group chat will mute other group chats. The chats had similar people and names.

Add/Remove Contact(s) from existing messages. SMS or MMS.
It'd be nice to able to edit recipients of messages. You can currently start a group message, but after it is created you don't have the ability to add or remove additional contacts. That would be a nice new feature.

Language selection
It would be great to have the option to select the app's language. Now it forces the system language. But for example I only use English as system language because google assistant doesn't (yet) work on my native language.
