    Let me set an auto response on either a timed period or by a countdown, or by my DND status in Android.

    Also let me choose a separate response if they are in my contact list, a contract group, or not on contacts at all.

  4. Galaxy watch app

    y'all should make a Galaxy watch app where you can send and receive messages using Textra, if Textra is your default Messaging app, you can receive and reply to messages, but can't start conversations from scratch. it's a big problem with the Galaxy watch and I'm sure tons of people would pay for it including myself

  5. Tapback

    Integrating a version of the Tapback feature from iMessage where you can reply to messages with expressions. Possibly being able to have it work when an apple user uses it on a Android users message. currently on Android it displays as a separate message saying they "Loved an image"

  7. Different Emoji Styles For Different Conversations

    Textra really sets itself apart from other apps by allowing users to choose the emoji style they see in the app. I often set mine to Apple emojis so that I know what the emoji style will look like for my iPhone friends when I send them a message.

    It would be amazing if emoji styles could be selected for different conversations. That way, I could select the emoji style for the type of phone each contact has. Since some emoji styles are so different that the appearance may alter the meaning, I think it would be a great feature…

  10. Time stamp & hidden messages

    Be great to have every single message sent and received in a thread to have time stamps so I can see exactly when messages have been received and sent. As another user also suggested, would be good to have hidden messages that can instantly be displayed or hidden using the user's current passcode or fingerprint

  11. Search within conversations

    The general search within the app is great of you're looking for a specific message, but if you know who sent it to you and only remember a keyword or topic it can easily pull too many results. I'd like to be able to open a conversation and search within it, as well as retaining the ability to search across the app as a whole.

  14. Report scammer messages

    I've been getting scam messages and if I'm tired I might accidentally click on a (for example) phishing link.

    I might offer this as a starting point:

    1. Report the message to the FTC
    2. Block future messages from the sender
    3. Encourage users to report scams
    4. If the sms is verified to be a scam, block the sender from ALL Textra users.
    5. (Unsure about this one) Report to the sender they have been identified as fraudulent and reported to the FTC

    Issue: Haven't seen this lately but in the past a virus could hijack a users sms and send messages without them…

    As a lifelong (34+ years) software developer (and Jack of All Other IT Disciplines), I just wanted say how much I truly LOVE 💕 this app.

    Now as a self-imposed vagabond refugee from the corporate grind, I use this app all day, every day to keep in communication with my bread & butter clients. Tonight I needed the Scheduled Send feature and to my astonishment, it was already built-in with a number of other features I wasn't aware of.

    So this Saturday night, I raise a Jose Cuervo Gold shot 🥃 to each and every one of you!!
