Create a tab/search criteria to easily find locked texts. Or add ability to star texts you wish to reference later.

Pinned messages
Today, If I want to keep a message as a note, I have to copy paste into my note app, or send me to myself

any way to send your location or a location to another person.? hey, let's meet here ? ==> send a location in text. Google maps tie in.

Offline Backup
I'd prefer to be able to backup the app settings, customisations, & messages to a physical location that to the cloud as many other are requesting.
This way I choose exactly where it goes.

Adding contacts after creating the initial conversation
please allow user to add a contact to an existing group text. there's nothing worse than realizing you left someone out of a group conversation and currently you cant add them without creating a new txt.

vocal record lock
actually, to record a vocal message, you have to keep your finger pushed on the microphone.
This is really (like, really !!) inconvenient. I really would be pleased to be able to lock the record, like on many applications, just push the microphone and swipe the finguer and that's fine, the record keep going.
This would really really help. More convenient, less dangerous also (when driving)

textra to sync with my tablet.
I really enjoy Textra on my android phone & want to keep it as my messenger app, However, I need to be able to receive & send text on my tablet while using Textra. All the apps I have found that allows my tablet to sync up & receive my texts from my phone & allows me to text from my tablet requires their app to be installed on both devices & set as the default messaging app. PLEASE....

Compact Conversation View
The ability to make the conversation page (where all the conversations are listed) more compact. I had to use the Google Messages app for some testing and I prefer the compactness in the conversation view and would like to duplicate it.

Save contact color setups
I use the same colors for people in various groups eg work / family - would be good to be able to save color setups and apply them to conversations instead of trying to find the same ones every time. Even better if we could assign a label to conversations so that if I change a color setup it applies to all labels there. Would mean we would also need the ability to remove labels too in that case.

MMS option to always use SMS
I sometimes receive messages that convert to MMS if over a set text size, these never send properly as the carrier doesn't allow MMS messages, so I end up breaking the message into multiple SMS messages manually, which is a PIA.
It would be good to have an option to always split via SMS and never send via MSM.4 votes -
Textra notification issues
Phone reverts to needing Home screen log in when opening Textra from a notification. Please help me.

Changing size of bubble
I know we can change the text size but what about the conversation texts and the bubble size. I don't see this as an option.

Have an option in settings to remove emails from being able to send info to your number or contacts.

Random Themes
An option to randomize the app's theme upon every 10-15-20, etc minutes / 1- 3 - 6,etc hours or upon every time we open the app.
And have option such as
- Textra Preset
- Custom

SMS Slide option customization
Please have option for the slide left/right on the SMS to customize its action like archive, delete, mark read/unread, block, forward.

the ability to archive messages so you can unclutter and not have to look at old message threads without fully deleting them

Swipe-to-close optional
When viewing a message thread, swiping to the side closes the thread and takes me to the list of threads. I want to turn this feature off.
Maybe for some users, this is useful. For me, the back button works fine. The feature is a problem for me because I often accidentally close a draft when I try to highlight a line of text. I would like the ability to turn this feature off in the settings.

title to the sms
Happens and the message I receive is written under a mobile number. If it was possible to add a title to the post, it would be helpful to locate it later
