REAL support from Textra needed!
There doesn't seem to be anyway to get support from the developer. Is this app being discontinued or has it been sold off to someone else who doesn't care?

auto group message
I wish I could type a specific word when sending a text message, and have that word automatically replaced with each contact’s name in a group message.

Message display width
Use the whole width of the display for message content, instead of present 1/3 of display. Presently you can only type about 3 words across before you have to use another line. This makes the display of each message way too long and is harder to read. There is no flow in reading these texts and simply wastes a lot of space on the screen.

"S" for STOP in reply
For advertising or campaign texts, Type "S" in reply and have it spell out "STOP"

Attach a photo to an already existing text as a reply all
I have created a text to a series of people. Now I need to attach a photo to everybody . I don't see a way to attach a photo to an already existing text. Unless I'm missing something ... Am I?

Default App Override (to Textra}
Default App Override -
some phones will reset the Default Messaging App back to the inbuilt Messaging App after you do certain common actions. Since they happen often you can't help but have to Click 'Make Default Messaging App' almost every time you open it.It would be good to have another way to make it a Default app permanently.
I really like Textra but am considering deleting it, though I don't want to, because it's such a hassle switching all the time.

Automatically add "Reported Spam" to "Block List"
The "Report as Spam" option is great, and I'm glad it reports it to Verizon (or other carriers), but it would reduce a step for users if the number reported as spam was automatically added to the "Block List". Whenever I mark as spam, I also then add to my block list. This seams like unnecessary steps and it would be great if this could be programmed to occur automatically and just pop up a banner that states something like, "This spam number has also been automatically added to you block list". Thanks for considering this feature request.

More separation between pinned contacts and other contacts.
I'm switching to tetra after using the old, Android default messaging app for many years, and one thing I really liked about that app that I can't seem to find any other app, was that it added a good amount of separation between my pinned contacts at the top, and the rest of my contacts. This made it easier for me to see whether a message was coming from someone I had pinned, or someone else while barely having to glance at the app

make MMS work again
MMS has been working sporadically and sometimes not at all for the past 5 days. Today I discovered that all received photos in my messages have disappeared, but ONLY in conversations between Android users. When I switched to Samsung Messages, all pictures showed up. Please contact me for details if needed. I love Textra, have used it for years, and paid for it. This is unacceptable.

Choose default SIM to send from
Most other apps seem to default to whichever SIM is set as default for calls. But Textra insists on defaulting to SIM 1. I don't see any way to default to SIM 2.
I'd like to either have the option to choose default or else have it follow the default for calls.

Translating SMS would be a great thing. In order to translate a Hungarian SMS into German, I currently have to switch to a translation app. Very idle.

Vacation Responder
Hello, I use this app a lot for work, and it would be really helpful to have a vacation/out of office response so people aren't super mad at me when I get back from vacation and I didn't reply for a week or so... I have that for my email, would be great to have it via text as well

Design a Name or Word Filter Function to BlockList the consistent pests that simply use another ANI (PHONE NUMBER) to send their BS, Hacker, etc Unwanted Messages.
MAKE A BLOCK BY WORD FILTER FUNCTION.

search messages in the blocked list
I would like to be able to search a specific phone number that was added to the block list. occasionally I might accidentally block a message and it's almost impossible to find it later because you can't sort by date that it was deleted on and I have many hundreds of numbers in my block list.

love reactions to pictures sent .. Amusing reactions work with IOS and yet Google can't do that 😅😅😅. thanks guys love App.. you ever thought of having camera and photos gallery like iOS when. tap + rather than down bottom

Sort Blocklist Screen for New Msgs
I get notifications from another app about risks on my phone, including text messages. To delete them, I have to scroll through my Blocklist to find which one has a new spam in it. Sort function would help with that. Thanks!

Disable swipe
Twice, entire threads were accidentally deleted bc of your annoying swipe-delete, & you do not allow swipe to be turned off in Settings. LET ME DECIDE if I want swipe or not!
