  1. able to add your own background and different bubbles for SMS. ☺

    it would be nice to add your own theme, for example, to have the option to choose one of your own pictures as a background.Also, different bubble styles as a SMS option would be nice.

  2. Font in messaging to match the font set on the phone option

    I don't see why there isn't an option to match the font set on your phone. For some reason in the support page it shows the text in the font set on my phone, lol. Also, if there is this option and i just couldn't find it please let me know!

  7. Add contact avatars in non-group conversation bubbles

    Please add contact avatars to non-group conversation bubbles. This we be a great, would help one not send message to wrong person. Sometimes i tao the wrong conversation by mistake and if I don't look up at the avatar then I end messages to wrong person. Hangouts have this and the stock message app has this.

    I really want to be able to see when someone read my message or is typing. The only thing wrong with Textra :)

    I see Textra has Quick Compose from notification screen, but no Quick Text (predefined template responses) capability. Has this bee considered as I was surprised it was missing.

  12. Swipe action option

    there should be an option for swipe action, currently swipe left makes the call and swipe right deletes message. there should be more options like, mark as read, mark unread, archive, reply, add to specific folder

  13. where did vibration patterns go?

    I used the customized vibration patterns on my old phone with Android 9, but now in Android 11 there is no option... why?? I loved that option, especially because my watch vibrated with the same pattern and I always knew who was texting me without having to look

  14. Custom Background

    This app would be perfect if we could customize the look further by being able to change the background of each conversation and list view. The light and dark modes are boring. Samsung's Message app allows this however it is not as powerful as this app. It would be great to customize the color or choose an image from our gallery.

  15. Folders/ categories

    It would be great if there was a feature where we could group our text messages by categories or in a folder. That way if I want to find all of my family text messages they would be in a folder that I've created and added their text threads to that. same thing with friends, coworkers etc. having categories/folders would be awesome.

    Having the ability to react to images with emojis would be Super helpful, especially in group chats.

  18. Display text messages notifications on lock screen

    The app only has an option for floating notifications. There should be a setting for normal notifications in the notification bar/menu and in the lock screen just like how the stock messages app is.

  19. Disable drag-up keyboard

    Too often I accidentally open the drag-up keyboard, and the animation is unpleasant. It would be better if the keyboard slid up as if connected to the bottom of the conversation, only visible to the extent that the user would have scrolled. For now though, I'd just like a way to turn the current implementation off.

    When adding a group to send a message to, you should see the names of the group members and be able to remove them individually
