  1. "Do Not Disturb" setting for notifications

    It would be cool to have a timer you could set to disable notifications between certain hours. Say you're at school and get distracted by your phones notifications, you could set Do Not Disturb mode for 8-5 and not get any notifications of new text messages.

    Just an option to change the type of emoji per conversation thread. Like having iOS emojis for friends texting from iPhones, and Android emojis for friends on Android

  4. Being back the web link previews for sent messages

    At first, you could ensure that you sent the correct link with a preview. Now there is no way to make sure you sent the link you intended to send.

    Please add this feature, this is very helpful for ads that are from the same advertiser but uses a different number each time, making it impossible to blacklist them forever.

    with the growing acceptance of the gay community's or just an old hippy like myself..any font would would be amazingly beautiful when its colored all the colors of a rainbow....I'm not alone in this I know...

  12. Separate icon color/appearance for MMS vs SMS

    The number instead of a letter doesn't stand out as being different. perhaps make the icon for MMS a stack of circles rather than a single? You could also make it customizable, much like the message bubble type.

  15. When deleting messages from Textra they should also be deleted from the stock messaging app.

    I've noticed that when deleting messages in Textra they don't get deleted from the default Android messaging app. It would be great if there was an option for users to toggle that when messages are deleted they will be deleted from both databases.

    This idea could also tie into other people's ideas for automatically deleting messages after X number of days (to help keep both database size down) as well as the requests for an undelete (recover message) which could retrieve deleted messages only if they don't have "delete from both databases" enabled.

  16. Add/Remove Contact from Group Text

    Use case: I'm on a 4 way group text and want to add additional people (or remove someone) without having to start a new thread. Seems Textra could do this automatically, and abandon the old thread. Would really increase the functionality of this awesome app, and I think you'd be the first to offer it on Android.

  17. Reading MMS message in Android Auto

    I wish that when reading a group message in Android Auto it would state who the message is from as does Messages in Apple CarPlay.
    Currently when Textra reads a group message in AA, it states everyone's name involved in group message, then reads the message instead of just the name of the individual who sent it. This makes it difficult to know who said what without looking at your phone and I don't want to look at my phone while driving.

  18. Option to customize background by using your own gallery pictures

    Please add an option for customizintheg app background and also the background of every conversation, I don't like the 'Screen colors' provided by app. And please make this change as soon as possible!
