  1. adaptive brightness for the Emoji tray as well

    well first of all your App is a Huge success!!! extraordinary and a fun way to chat we are glad someone finally came up with the best messaging app on play store... but there's one suggestion anyways... can't the Emoji section adapt the screen brightness while on night mode? coz when the screen is dim and this bright emoji tray appears, I must say it bugs the eye :(

  3. Support default Google Launcher icon styles.

    Sqircle, teardrop, rounded square, square default google launcher styles should be supported. Currently, textra icon does not change to match theme. Google Pixel XL. Android version 9. Pixel Launcher 9-4836503.

  7. when sharing media to Textra use RECENT contacts, NOT favorites.

    It's insane that I have to search through contacts to share media. And unless you have renamed a group with something you can remember it's nearly impossible to share something to a certain group of people or a specific message thread you have already

  10. Multiple Messages combiner

    So it drives me crazy how some people will send you 3 texts in a row. Sometimes more, usually brief. we need a way to have multiple messages sent from the same person within a brief time come through as one message. please!
    👎example:

    •Hey!(5mins ago)
    •Whats up!?(5mins ago)
    •You working today?(3mins ago)
    •Did you see that YouTube video yet?(1min ago)

    👍App would merge messages to:
    •Hey
    What's up!?
    You Working today?
    Did you see that YouTube video yet?(5min ago)

    less notifications to drive people crazy from annoying and impatient people. This could easily be applied in a similar way…

  12. Cell and Mobile Contacts Only

    When composing a text message show only Cell and Mobile Contact numbers Only.

    The way it's written now I can't use because all my Contacts show CELL PHONE NUMBERS, NOT MOBILE BUT YOU COULD HAVE BOTH CELL AND MOBILE SO THOSE OF US WHO ONLY SHOW CELL COULD USE THIS FEATURE TOO. THANK YOU

  14. Able to Chat while phone is locked

    I think it would be really cool if you added a feature where you could text people back even if you hadn't unlocked your phone. I've always wanted to do that with an Android

  15. Message options while typing

    While typing text, it would be great to be able to type a word in ITALICS, BOLD, or have the STRIKETHROUGH options when long pressing on that word. WhatsApp has those options. Many times I've wanted to BOLD print or Italicize and can't. I have to tell you your app so far is the best I've tried! Love the app, but would like these suggestions.

  16. Windows 10 Your Phone

    The new version of Windows 10 added an app called Your Phone. It would be nice to have better compatibility with this app. So far I've noticed the sent and delivered flags don't work when I send a message from the computer

  17. Themes / colors

    It would be nice if when selecting the option to have the app auto select a theme for individual contacts to not have their text messages in the same color bubble as my texts.

  20. To know if a messages has been seen.

    It would be awesome if we could know if the messages has been seen just like the app Invi Messages. If both users are using the same app through Instant Messaging MMS you could know if the message has been seen similar iMessage but on Android. Textra would be really cool with this feature in it.
