  1. Select and copy text

    Give users the option to copy parts of a message and not just all of it. When it's a number, users should see options to copy or call. I feel the system shouldn't by default take me to the dailer.

  3. Multi-message heads up

    Android Messages allows multiple messages in a conversation to accumulate in the heads up until dismissed. Please add this to both the Textra and Android heads up implementations in your app. Thanks!

  5. Quick Settings Tile

    Many applications have their own quick Settings tiles for quick toggling of features, for example spotify's offline mode toggle tile. I'd like to suggest that textra implement this for quick composure as an alternative to the permanent notification used currently for this feature. It would allow users to use this feature without unnecessary notification shade clutter.

  8. Option to select date mode

    Today Textra shows dates in MM/DD/YY order. It would be great if the user could choose/override the system date order.

  9. Return to previous screen

    It would be nice if tapping the textra icon on the home screen would bring you back to the last textra window you had open, rather then bringing you back to the main textra screen every time. I realize you can go back to your previous screen by using the multitasking button, but if you're like me. it would be nice to go back to what you were doing by tapping the icon as well.

    an overlay with floating notifications on the sides of the screen like FB messenger would be awesome! only thing I miss since switching.

  11. customize swipe down to close keyboard

    I love Textra but unlike just about every other texting app I've used it's difficult to close the keyboard by swiping down. It seems it only works if I really swipe down fast and far but all I want to do is have the keyboard close everytime I swipe down to read more of the conversation... I wish this was a customizable setting where we could have it always close the keyboard with any amount of downward swipe on the conversation... as it is I have to swipe down and scroll really far back to get to the bottom of…

    In the conversation list, I would like the ability to display contact initials only, instead of full names. Would be especially helpful in group text messages.

  13. Don't dismiss notification automatically when you reply from notification tray

    Just like how Android Message app works. You reply a text from notification tray, but the it hitting the reply button will not dismiss the notice. So that you can keep on with the context. Swipe away when you're finally done!

  16. Bookmark GIF's to use them quickly with a system of tag

    I use some GIF's everyday, and it's tiring to search in GIF database..

    Why not do something like this?

  17. Where did Date and Time go?

    ...aside from tapping by message, then on "I" for info... why is there only a date and time on the last couple messages I sent?

    When I receive replies... no date and time. Does not show when message slid: just trash or call. Keep up the incredible work! I recommend Textra to all that will listen!

  20. Default Contact Icon

    Can you please add a default contact icon where are no pictures? Please ensure that the icon is not the default Android but a textra special or you could give the user option to choose either. This will avoid # like contact indicators.
