  8. Block spam from email

    This isn't a new or radical idea, but I didn't see anything for it besides how to block a specific sender, or someone not in contacts, or for filtering by specific criteria, which doesn't help with bots creating random emails from random addresses to send from. Can the ability to block all text messages coming from email be added? An allow list down the line would be great, but just block all from anything ending in ".com" would be extremely beneficial for many people.   9. Search for emoji

    Other chat clients (Signal, Whatsapp to name two) and custom keyboards (SwiftKey) allow you to search for an emoji by its name. E.g. searching for "banana" returns 🍌. It would be nice to have this function in Textra as sometimes it's hard to find the emoji I'm looking for just by scrolling through the list.

    After opening notification and looking without scrolling I close it and the notification number is still there. It would be nice to have number gone after opening text.

  12. Save photos automatically

    Options to:
    1. Automatically save mms attachments (photos)
    2. Display all attachments with the option to save individually, selected, or All.
    3. As a message with an attachment is displayed, have a pop up with the option of saving it.
    The thought being to allow catching up with saving photos without having to search manually, followed by doing it automatically or semiautomatically as messages are received.

  15. Text bubble padding

    Could you please add a setting to increase the size of the padding in the message bubble? Depending on the message you are typing, the characters sometimes push tight up against the edges of the bubble. Adding some padding would look incredible. Thank you

    I think it would be great to have the ability to personalize the sound notification of a contact if the user would like versus having the exact same notification sound for every text message.

  17. Ability to see links as part of shared media

    I think it would be great to see the links sent as part of shared media, just like the photos. That way a user does not have to scroll back through their messages to find the link.

  18. Increase emoji keyboard size

    We can change the size of our font but it would be super helpful if there was a way to increase the size of the emojis on the emoji keyboard. Sometimes they are hard to see if you are older or have impaired vision. Even if we could zoom in and out. I'm not sure if that's an improvement that the Textra app can make or if that would be an improvement that Gboard would have to make. BTW this is by far the best texting app. I love it and appreciate y'all always working to improve it.

  19. Separation of Personal / Business

    Would be nice to be able to have a choice of seeing personal messages or business messages separately instead of combined. Google messages gives you the option to choose between the two.

  20. Video Call Feature

    It would be awesome if there was a video call feature added instead of having to use another app and you could just video call any of your contacts.
