   Please let me choose where I want to save images, etc. from text messages. I get so tired of having to go to the Textra folder every time, rather than my Downloads folder.

2. Fix mobile number detection for imported contacts

   Not sure what happened, but at some point my contacts started showing numbers with all-caps labels, like HOME instead of Home, MOBILE instead of Mobile. I'm guessing they got re-imported somewhere and showed up like this. I noticed that the "Mobile Contacts Only" filter stopped detecting some contacts because of this. Please use case-insensitive matching for this.

4. Please stop uppercasing MIxEdCaseWorDS

   Sometimes I want to type canonically-styled words, like VoLTE, NVMe, or something like that. If part of the word is capitalized, it will forcibly capitalize the whole word! At the very least, allow this to be an option that can be turned on or off.

   Have the ability to remove or add a person in an active group conversation, (whether using chat or bulk) like some other text apps allow. Very useful idea.

6. automated responses

   if you could can we get automated responses both on a individual messaging level and a global level? for example within a conversation you can set a pre-typed message to automatically send when you get a text message from a contact. There might also have a repeat switch at the individual level. as in if you want you can repeat one message over and over every time they text instead of having multiples. And then potentially have a global automated response that would be superseded by individual Auto contact responses but would send for everyone that texted you this one will be an on-off switch and would be sent to everyone that texted you as long as they didn't have any individual set and it would repeat for every message that was sent.

   example: you leave for a vacation and you set a individual auto text message to repeat for your boss and if a few co-workers when they text you, saying "I'm on vacation until next Friday have a good week."

   this way you wouldn't have to send it individually every single time you could rest easy knowing that if it's work related your phone is automatically responding at the same time you can still screen the text yourself to see if it's important enough for you to respond to on your own.

9. copy/paste

   Hello, Today I Learned on this forum that "tap on bubble" open a Textra Menu that offers "copy,..." instead of the Android "Long Press" option.
   Reading others feedbacks, I think developpers should show the Textra Menu when I long-press, AND copy the entire text immediatly to save clicc. Thanks for your great work.

12. Block messages by keywords

    I get a lot of spam, and though I add the sender to the Blocklist they out smart it by sending again and again from different numbers or IDs.
    These messages have some word combinations that repeat. If I could block messages with these word combinations, it would be great.

17. Show the sender phone number

    If I get a message from someone who is in my contacts with multiple phone numbers, I want to see the calling number to choose to which number to respond.
    Question: If I respond, does my response go to the sender number or to the primary number of my contact?

    i love this app but i cant stand the color selector with the giant horizontal scroll thru pre-selected colors. please just give us RGB slider bars (0-255) to assign chat bubble colors.

20. Import/export messages/history!

    I fucking love Textra and have been using it exclusively for years now. Only feature I've needed but not had has been message migration. I just got a new phone after a few years and realized I missed responding to a group chat for clients because it started the day I switched phones and I don't have the thread on my new phone. in this instance I can obviously just look at messages on my old phone and get caught up but being able to export and import between devices would be super helpful. Some ideas and assumptions:

    • Migration type: manually for all users, maybe offer cloud sync for Pro users as an as-needed service.
    • • - - Assumption: for cloud sync service, >90% of users will only utilize the feature once every couple of years when they upgrade/replace phones, so the additional server cost should be pretty low as it won't be used very often. I don't know y'all's infrastructure and opinions on offering any kind of cloud feature for Textra. I do rather enjoy the fact that it's basically all local.

    • Data type: JSON, of course. Could generate it on-device and either save to downloads folder or provide copy-paste box, the latter of which doesn't seem to useful but geeks always find edge cases.

    • Merging of data: I have used my phone for a few days before realizing my blunder and so now I'd need to merge messages for a few contacts. I imagine this could be dealt with easily by just doing an array merge based on message timestamps or even just concatenating new onto old (or old onto new in reverse).

    That's all. Just thought I'd share the idea.
