  1. Further customization

    It would be great if we could add a wallpaper background to our texts for general messages and for specific contacts. It would also be nice if we could send mms over wifi instead of text. it would really push this wonderful platform to new heights and truly shine above all other messaging applications.

  2. Mark message as read, but leave the notification on

    I turned on the option for notifications to ring 5 times. Considering I can read the message using the notification, it'd be nice if there was a way to make it stop ringing, but leave the notification on as a reminder (to respond, do something, etc.)
    Personally, I'd be fine if it stopped ringing as soon as I interacted with the phone (turn the screen on or touch the screen if it's already on or something).

  3. Notification Icon Colors

    We should bring back notification icon colors. We can keep the icon shapes, but it'd be much easier to distinguish the icons to recognize different messages and contacts if we could change their colors on the notification bar

  7. Night Mode

    It seems that the night mode is a little off. One day I'll have it start at 10pm and the next it randomly starts at 5pm. I thought maybe it changed with the time shift but it doesn't do it every day. Even so a better option would be to let us pick the time frame for which it goes into night mode. Every one has different schedules and it would be great to set the parameters for when it goes dark to our specific ones. Thanks

    removing the MMS "Legacy" setting broke MMS messaging for me. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS.

  10. Customization and quality of life ideas.

    I love the new notification icons you can choose I would just like to be able to choose their color like before. Also the ability to search pictures sent in a conversation. Maybe a button to display only pictures in a conversation. Thank you for reading.

  11. Wifi Texting and Landscape Column Texting.

    Not sure how to explain the second one. But in the default texting application on my phone. When you turn the phone in landscape mode. Instead of the contact texting box taking up the whole screen. It takes up half and the other have you can see all your other texts chats boxes still. I have a picture of want I'm talking about if I can post it.

    Please? Please? I bought the Textra app over a year ago to support you guys! I would buy a widget for my galaxy watch to be compatible with textra. I hate the android S8 messages default. It's just so uncustomizable. Can we start a GoFundMe for a watch widget? Tired of not being able to respond to texts on my smartwatch. I would donate for that cause! ♡ love textra! I've gotten several people to convert to using it.

  13. Galaxy Note 9 lock screen notification

    My current experience with my new note 9 and Textra has been that if I lock my phone with Textra open, when I get a notification it only appears for a moment before automatically clearing itself. My thoughts are that the app isn't recognizing the lock screen and think I'm still in the app so it auto clears the notification because "I'm in the app" when in reality my phone is locked. any solutions?

    don't like the new white only notifications. but nothing I've asked for to help me such as using the word CELL as well as Mobile is ever approved. I don't care what the rest of the world uses. this is America and most of us use Cell numbers. But guess I will have to find an app that is more attuned you people here in America and you can take your app to the countries who you DO support.

  17. Improve sms character counter

    Its hard to use the way it counts forwards then after 110 characters or so it starts to subtract. I would like the option to enter a custom max sms charcter length in the settings and an option to split long sms'. Or an option to split sms' over your character limit, to make things easier

  18. Simple editing options

    Why it is not possible to copy a particular something from inside a received sms...?
    I mean we receive codes from everywhere these days to validate accounts, demands, professional appointments etc etc.. But textra don't let us copy something else than the full message or nothing... Lame please change it!

  19. How can I prevent Texts from closing my message thread and going back to the screen with all of my threads?

    Let's say I send a message to someone, hit my home button, go on Facebook, home again then when I click on Textra I wish it would leave me in the last conversion I was in and not show me all of my threads.
    Is there anyway to do this? It's really annoying considering I only text with one person and the rest are on Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp so I have to keep selecting this one thread every single time I go back into the app.
