Give Feedback

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Prewritten texts/replies

Customizable prewritten texts that can be selected... Like "Where you at?" Or "Can't text right now, get back to you later" or any other comment more specific to each individual. Could save time for those users who text a lot and would make Textra even more slick and saavy

  2. Photo bubbles in text mesage.

I want to be able to have the photo of the person in texting next to there response instead of just their name. I do a lot of group messages and it makes it easier to see the face of each person responding instead of having to read each name.

  3. Option to view texting stats

Statistics like color coded histograms on who you have been texting most often over the past week or graphs on percentages of texts sent to each contact could be viewed. Textra already records the date and the number of total messages, so these neat graphs are possible.

  6. PRIVATE BOX!!! I NEED!!! PLEASE!!!

Ok so firstly: Textra is, according to many, THE BEST texting app out there. In my opinion there is only one major feature missing: a protected area for messages you want to keep private. Seriously. Textra has all the other customization options. Why not that???

  8. Bright colors as under the accent color wheel

The same color options under accent should be under the text bubbles also. They're more HD and bright.

  10. Different colors by sender in MMS group text

Each sender's messages should have a different color bubble so it is visually clear who is saying what.

  11. Support open whisper privacy protocols

Open whisper is a end to end encryption for messaging that can be integrated into Textra... Originally imbedded in all CM ROMs, it is now a standalone messaging and phone app for android and iPhone, BUT open source so products like Textra could also participate!

  14. How can i compress my Textra Database

My textra database has grown to over 10 GB. I know there are a lot of photos and videos that make up most of the data base. Is there a way to purge photos and videos? I would like to purge from certain date range if possible.

  19. Add a customizable Quick Messages menu

One thing I liked about the system messaging app on my phone was the ability to respond with a quick message from a menu, like "Meet me at..." or "I'm at work, text me". I also liked that I could creates custom messages to add to the list of responses. Textra could definitely benefit from a feature like this.

  20. Option to LOCK specific Chat

Sir please bring the option to LOCK specific conversation, NOT like thatuseless PRIVATE BOX present in other messaging apps. The option should lockthe conversation with FOUR digit PIN, so whenever we tap on conversation,it should ask for PIN, and this option SHOULD NOT ENCRYPT the messages sothat other messaging apps will be able to READ MESSAGES of LOCKEDconversation. And it would be more useful of you allow a brief exit time, like if we tap again on conversation in specified period of time, we don'thave to give PIN, for example if we open conversation again in 30 secs. Please bring it in…
