  3. Recover deleted messages

    It should be possible to go to the trash can and view/recover previously deleted msgs.
    Similar to just about Every email service provider/app, it should be possible specify the time deleted msgs are retained, along with the option to permanently delete them.

    Delete in one move instead of cumbersome tap and confirm. provide temporary undo option in case of accident

  6. Picture Background

    The ability to set a picture as a background behind the text message bubbles, instead of just the solid black, grey, or white. Support individualized picture backgrounds in each conversation. (there's a feature like this avaliable in the stock messages app on Samsung phones, and I'd love to see it implemented here)

  8. Faster delete

    Current delete mechanism requires three actions: swipe right, two taps on trash icon. Suggest adding ability to choose a streamlined delete in settings.

  10. Message Sync Sync to Desktop App

    Textra is a great platform but with a chrome app, Windows/Linux/OSX app to sync and send messages it could be amazing. Think Pushbullet or iOS messages to Desktop.

  11. Always display timestamps.

    Alow the user to choose to always see timestamps (essentially always showing the screen displayed when one swipes right in a sms conversation) or not (how timestamps are seen now).

  12. Private Inbox

    Is there a way to turn the blacklist into a separate inbox or make a private inbox? It would be nice to be able to access it by long pressing the compose icon then putting in a finger print or pattern to access it. This has been a feature that the app desperately needs.

  16. Vibrate/Ring Once For Group of New Messages

    When I receive a long text message from someone, it gets split up by my carrier so while they typed it all up and sent it at once, I might get 5 or 6 separate messages. When this happens, my phone vibrates for like 30 seconds straight because Textra vibrates for each individual message that comes in. This is very annoying and can be very disturbing when you are ironically trying to use vibrate mode to remain discrete.

    A better way to handle this would be to only vibrate or ring once when a group of messages from the same…

  17. have a trashcan for deleted messages.

    to keep messages around just in case of accident delete. the "deleted" messages stay for a week before being erased. this option can be hidden too.
