saving pictures from within textra app to phone's gallery
I'd like to be able to save pics taken (and sent to me) from within the Textra app to my phone's gallery. Maybe I'm missing something, but even after selecting the "download" option, I'm only able to view Textra pics by opening the gallery from within the Textra app - they don't appear in my gallery when opening the gallery from my home screen.

Please add option to block all MMS messages
because of StageFright security issue in all android devices from android 2.2 to 5.1.1 included. MMS is easiest vector of attack, you only need to know someone phone number

Please develop the app further to block unknown contacts /numbers. Blacklisting is only useful after illegal contact. And the idiots change their number.

Trash folder!
Similar to what virtually all email accounts let you do - you can move a text to the trash folder which doesn't get deleted for 30 days or however many days you want to set this to. Agree with many others who have suggested this, as it's much too easy to accidentally delete a text message or entire conversation then you can't undo it here in Textra. Devastating! Please and thank you! I'd donate to make this happen.

There should be a way to text from a tablet/computer like Google Messages. Scan a QR code or just go to a link and text on a desktop

I deleted a few important messages by mistake. why is there no trash folder? Are the very least we should have the ability to turn off slide delete function

Background Customization
Message+ allowed you to put a picture as a background to all the conversations. It would also let you put different backgrounds behind specific conversations. It was the only texting app that had that feature I hope Textra can implement this feature!

selecting text
make a nice way to select a part of a portion of a previous text without having to copy the entire text. many times need to only select an address, phone number or some sort of text in a sms message. can only copy an entire sms message right now currently.

Textra would be the absolute best if you could archive individual as well as groups of messages to phone memory or google drive.

Backgrounds for chats and inbox
I think it'd be super cool if you could add pictures to individual chats and to the main inbox, along with being able to change opacity. I really like changing my stuff for the holidays, and right now my theme is red and green. It would be cool if I could add a faint picture (maybe 50% opacity) in the background of a Christmas tree or something.

Add/remove people from group chats
You should add the option to add or remove people from group chats. This would be greatly beneficial when people have a change in phone number but you don't want to start a new group chat.
