details folder for saving MMS media
others have already posted about this, but it would be awesome to be able to choose the MMS save folder. having to go into the Textra media folder in a file browser and cut/paste to a standard folder like Pictures or even DCIM is really easy to forget. I've lost a lot of pics because of the default location

More solid colours for background
I'm a long time user of Textra (paid version) and I love it so much!
I would love to be able to use new colours for both the background and the notifications. For example, instead of choosing the grey background, I could use a dark blue. As my upper bar is blue, it would fit perfectly. And the notification would look better, too!

Always open full app
Would like an option to always open in the full app when starting a text from an outside app / trigger like contacts instead of the smaller pop up. Thanks!

How about keeping the pinned item(s) at the top when scrolling through previous messages?

Analyze the text and allow for calendar events or appointments to be created if the message mentions a time or date.

text someone's contact info
right now under someone's contact info the only way you can give it to someone is with an email.. you need to be able to send it through a text, MMS, or SMS

Grouping of messages
sort the personal messages and other notifications messages from the carrier sim and group them seperately. This change will be greatly appreciated. Thank You

I know you have an option to mark all as read but what about an option to unmark as read? Its helpful as a reminder sometimes for important discussions

Enable date in search bar
Recalling details of a specific day would be easier if threads from that date could be brought up by entering the date into the search window rather than scrolling through multiple text threads to get to that date in each one.

can we have the ability to display contact named by either first last, first only, last only, nickname or whatever other combos are available from the contact profiles?

Archive Feature
I love this app, I will continue to give it a 5 star rating regardless of the outcome of this request.
The one thing I feel as though this application is lacking is an archive feature. It's the one thing that comes with the native Android application that Textra doesn't have.
Personally, I don't delete text message. It would be nice to hide messages so that it doesn't feel as cluttered.

I have file with sms texts i exported using textra, would be great if there was an option to import them from text file back to the phone

Reminder options
I love textra versus my default Note 9 messenging app. However, it's almost a must for me to be able to highlight a received text that I can send to a reminder app as a task. Is this something that will be supported soon?

Well, I just got Textra to get away from Google trying to shove RCS down my throat.
One of the first things I notice in Textra is the apparent inability to select a message and "View details" of the message. I personally would like to see that feature.
So far, so good otherwise.
